I think he didn't, Weasel is feral and deranged looking but aside from he pouncing at Waller in the start of the episode, we've yet to really see him in a fight or go all 'King Shark', it wouldn't be a stretch to say Weasel was just in the wrong place, at the wrong time.

I was very skeptical about the cast list when I heard it was star studded. I've seen a few animated series where their talents don't translate to voice work, but I'm happy to say this cast is really working for me, the voices are a standout whilst also not being overly recognizable as the actor voicing them.

All of them are under appreciated actors & actresses who have been in a lot but never get much of a front and center role compared to other big names. The only exception would maybe be David Harbour who has become more well known now but even before his popularity rose up with Stranger Things he was very overlooked in previous performances he did.

You know I've always been a fan of the Bride of Frankenstein in general. (Even the Fran Drescher one) I guess because my mom kind of show me the Universal Monster movies when I was in like highschool. My favorite Univeral Monster is actually the Invisible Man. But seeing this version of the Bride just blew my mind. To quote Reginald the Koala of Anerican Dad: "I respect this bitch, I love this bitch!" BTWs the actual Bride of Frankenstein's hair color was actually dark red but because it was a black and white movie, people just automatically assume that it was black. Edit: I also wanted to show my mom this because she loves DC movies and shows. Her favorite movies are the Aquaman (mainly because of Jason Momoa) and the Wonderwoman movies but her favorite show are Peacemaker (her favorite member of Suicide Squad), Doom Patrol, and the OG WonderWoman show. When I told her that this show had the Bride of Frankenstein in it, she was like "OK, I'll watch it tomorrow" and then I told her that David Harbour was in it as the Monster she was like "Let's watch it right now!!!!" She likes David Harbour almost as much she likes Jason Momoa. Edit 3: Yes I just told my mom that Jason Momoa is going to be playing Lobo. Well she kind of heard me say, "Fucccck!!!!" because that not who I imagined my favorite character would be played by. I got over it eventually.

It should probably be noted that this was already in the works BEFORE Gunn took the big job (I believe) so yes it's technically the beginning of the DCU but it wasn't at least conceptualized with that in mind. Not sure how far along in production it was before Gunn and Safran were given command of the studio. That said, the world building for what's to come in this universe is fascinating. I'm here for it.

I think the best way to think about the DCU Lore Canon question is the same as when disney bought lucasfilm. Everything that came before is now 'Legends' and they can draw from it as they will to tell new stories. that way everything in Suicide Squad and who was there can be more fluid.

I'm gonna give it another shot at some point, but i couldnt even make it through the first episode. From the same suicide squad formula, to the janky Invincible-style animation to the "try hard" feel i got when i first started the Harley Quinn cartoon...it just didnt do anything for me..
