Phase 1 and 2 clone armor both have advantages and disadvantages. Phase 1 holds up better to blasters and has built in life support, the downside is that it was built with function in mind over comfort so it was a bit uncomfortable and tended to reduce movement range. Phase 2 was built to allow for better range of motion, but it didn’t have the same level of armor protection or built in life support system which is the reason it had built in connection points on the helmet. It is for these reasons that rex combined both phase 1 and 2 into a custom armor for him self.

The only issue i see with them writing it where rex could combine the 2 is that why the heck wouldnt they standardized something similar to rex and with how Rex cares about his brothers, why wouldnt he push his design?

@@khalduras784 because he can’t. Even if he did, the republic would not listen. Palpatine considers the clones to be expendable so wouldn’t go out of his way to design something with their benefit in mind. The only ones involved with the military structure of the republic that truly care for the well being of the clones are the Jedi. My question to you is this, how would rex be able to pitch a design for anything when those he is pitching to don’t care about anything him or what he has to say?

@@khalduras784 most clones were encouraged by their Jedi generals to modify their armor as they saw fit, it was ment as a way to give the clones more individuality. Most didn’t go beyond paint, but rex was one of the few who did. And again, most of the GAR non-Jedi command structure didn’t really care about the clones so long as they did their job.

I love this mod, it feels so much like the actual clone wars from the show, early game is consolidating and holding actions. I dug in at some outer rim planets (Eriadu, Mon Cala, Kashyyyk) and just ignored all the other planets just to secure the core

Yeah yeah that’s cool and all but the republic has legit no units that are good. A dreadnought shouldn’t cost more than 2000 credits with how poorly they preform (aka dying to everything instantly) same goes for clones, they cost a shit ton and take forever to build and are barely on par with B1 battle droids but still get molested by other droid units that are honestly still cheaper and quicker to build than basic clones, they honestly hardly ever pay for themselves and usually will make no more than 1/3rd of their price in kills before they die.

@@johnrambo5795 Because Clovis is not a member of the Galactic Republic and the Banking Clan (IGBC) that he serves is a neutral entity and controls the Galactic economy by being impartial in their finances, and since most Republic fans seem to think that the Republic is a morally good democracy, they should have no problem with the Banking Clan's actions. in TCW, we do hear that the IGBC has been giving favourable loans to the CIS, but Clovis is clearly shown to be against this and he intends on making the banks neutral again. Also, since Republic fans claim to hate the Sith, they should like Clovis, since he opposed Dooku's machinations and was forced to help the Sith against his will.

The CIS can stack munificent frigate construction modifiers and essentially have super fast discount artillery ships that have a low command cost. You take a super durable ship of any kind and stack munificent frigates then you can auto resolve 60% of the campaign, leave a fighter squadron above a enemy planet and just bulldoze everything, the only things i would say is scary is kamino and coruscant, and even then breaking both over your knee is a exercise in patience and focus. And while owning every bit of space you can just mass B1 swarms in your central training planet/s and autoresolve with bodies for cheap. They can only train 10 units and build forts and turrets, but if you swarm each planet with +70 B1 units then it is easy to auto resolve. Literally bury the republic in force of arms.

It was about animal rights, the rights of the vulnerable and defenseless while also having to do what's best for your government and your own people at the same time because they needed that treaty signed to gain access to more fuel to continue the war effort. Mace and Ani did a great job at achieving a perfect compromise between them and the Dougs, even if a bit sly at doing so! And then we see the outcome of greed and overconfidence befallen upon Palpatine and certain parts of his Republic staff when they try to bring the beast to Coruscant and even again later on in The Bad Batch. It's a tempting thing though! To want your soldiers and vehicles to have *indestructible armor* on the battlefield, so it's a perfect reason why they wanted to mess with the Zillo off-world so much. So, I'm BEYOND glad they continued the Zillo arc in Bad Batch, so take that Shack. Take that.

If you actually went and re-watched a lot of those early episodes, you'd realize they aren't so bad at all. I liked and enjoyed a lot of early-Clone Wars and respected the fact George and Dave wanted to constantly push the envelope and boundaries of what they can achieve with storytelling in the Star Wars universe and they did that and THEN some. The LAST Star Wars project DIRECT from the Maker himself, GEORGE FRIGGIN' LUCAS, and it SHOWED. AMEN. Rookies, Trespass, 2-part Deserter arc, Malevolence arc, The Blue Shadow Virus arc, Ryloth arc, Kamino battle, Boba's Revenge arc, 2nd Battle of Geonosis, 2-part (all time HILARIOUS and BADASS) Dooku/Obi-Wan/Anakin/Jar Jar arc, several JUICY, WHOLESOME and SPECTACTULAR Mandalore set up arcs, even that Padme/Jar Jar/3PO episode on Rodia were all anywhere from good-great. They all had meaningful, heartwarming moments and messages to share and further added to the story of Star Wars in their own beautiful and unique ways! S3 of TCW was the turning point of when that show went from good to GREAT. The "worst" episodes were just OK (and there were JUST a handful that truly were just "ok"), but there really wasn't anything bad, tbh. Video starts at 9:48 for the in game stuff also avoids a lot of the monologing guff for those like me who just like seeing shack start the game. for some reason when you mentioned about that short lived black sun AOTR run you did the name Shaz-Bot comes to mind. if i remember correctly a save file from that run got so scuffed from a save corruption error and you aborted the run because of it sometimes life shits on you and sometimes you get that free pass to shit on life.

Hardly, it would require a ton of new models. The advantage of clone wars was that part of the maps and models could be used from aotr or different mods. Post endor campaigns for aort are more likely than swtor

Its awesome people put time and effort in great mods but we need a NEW star wars RTS from the ground up. Its been a decade since we've gotten one. Personally I think we need Star wars Total War. Now that Warhammer trilogy is done. I feel like Star wars would be a direct port. Change magic to the force. Add space battles. Maybe even so new stuff like start a space battle over a planet And in a middle of the space battle launch a ground invasion. Ships could be characters with unique skills. I Also think it would help Total war recover from the last game.

I finally got enpire working again after years, had to tick the admin box, so frustrating. Playing AotR for the very forst time. Shack, I've been fanging to play AotR for years. I'm so happy. After years of giving up trying to play this game I thought id try again. It worked. Before I was even able to think about AotR I really wanted a Clone Wars mod. I have played Republic at War many times but it always breaks after like the third battle. Not any more however. Point is, as I loaded AotR for the first time after years of longing, all I could think was, I wish I could be the clones :) So this mod is out now? For everyone?
