I hear you are using Ms. Ali's recording. The3 Banat Mazin that we were privileged to meet in Luxor in 1987 wore very different gowns.. The music was amazing.

It would be a lot of work to recreate those skirts. Each row of glassed fringe was sewn by hand with a palate on the end. I don't know how many meters of material went into the skirt, but there was a slip underneath. They wore a stuffed bumper around the hips and the skirt was kept in place with a draw string. Also, they didn't execute the exact movement vocabulary. The Mazins never use twists or figure 8's. They were close though, but nothing beats the real thing. I'm lucky I got to see Khyriah and Raja at their height. They were magical!
