Greetings from Mexico. 🇲🇽 My dad migrated to Los Angeles in the late 80s. While living there, he met people from the middle east, especially Falastini. My baba got so immersed in Arab culture that he grew to love the food, the music and most importantly the people. He loved everything about the middle east he even named me Samir. All his love for everything arab was passed down on me so much so that I have learned to make food favorites like falafel, shawarma, hummus, I absolutely love the music, and the warmth of middle easterners. My baba is now in heaven, and I miss him. In honor of the beautiful Arabic language, my daughter's name is Jamila. Salam to everyone from Mexico.
