Jenny, tell Kyle to use warm, moist compresses on his eye (30 years in ophthalmology here). That’s advice for you, too, if you get another one. It helps consolidate things, and will help with discomfort, also. A chalazion is a blocked oil gland (a zit, essentially) in the eyelid, whereas a stye is a bacterial infection. Please, please DO NOT use vinegar in or around your eyes. You can give yourself a chemical burn. Ok, enough medical talk. Congratulations, Ellis! Student of the Month is big! I know your mom and dad are so proud of you (and Winnie, too)! And even though we don’t know each other, I’m proud, too! Great job!

Also wash your lid with baby shampoo. Warm compresses! I also worked in ophthalmology for a long time. It’s a great specialty to work for!!

Agree. ACV can burn badly if you get it in your eye. I use it as a final rinse when shampooing, and it can burn if you get even a LITTLE bit in there....even diluted. I got a chalazion in high school and I think it was from not properly removing makeup (eyeliner) and I unfortunately had to have mine surgically removed. Warm compresses didn't work unfortunately. I guess it depends on the person.

I have been on Cymbalta and it works better for my pain and it is also an anti-depressant. (I don’t know if you have tried Cymbalta.) I will be praying for a complete recovery for you. Having those feelings is supremely natural in terms of end of life concerns. But the thing IS, a large majority of humans are fear filled about what we call "death." And yet death just like birth, death is super loving and natural. Its not an end. If you go look up hospice nurses' opinions OR near death experiences. Or even in the Bible. Death is a rebirth. And although many in the physical who haven't been head to head with one's mortality feel uncomfortable approaching the subject. Every human will have to one day. I guess my research after losing my mom to ovarian cancer is that I never lost her. I feel closer to her now in a weird sense than I did when she was here in the flesh. My dad and her are like you & and Kyle, true love birds. He never remarried after she passed, and he senses her often. As a grown female, NOW, I'm so grateful to my dad, because he focused on raising us, with mom and spirit. It was the love of his life and said to me, several times, "we both knew it." Both my eldest sister and I are in the fields of doctors in mental health. Dad, kept things stable. Mom rooting us on from above He now is 76 yrs old and having some health issues. But we are by his side like fearce soliders. I know there is part of him, anticipating His transition home to Mom. We are all only simply passing through here and coming home to each other. I never actually believed that until mom passed, and it's wild, but she's let us know in her own afterlife ways. You are touching so many people in ways that likeley are needed. I think researching on the IANDs the International Assoc iation of Near Death Experiences and what many of those testimonials have to share may be helpful, soothing. Along with youtubing inspirational hospice nurses points of view will help both you and Kyle with the earthly fear. Additionally, I have witnessed stage 4 in the pits of pits, something shifts and they go into remission. But the larger point is NO MATTER WHAT, our souls and the very ESSENCE, remains. Yes, maybe it takes on an eatheral dimension yet there is TOO MUCH evidence to prove that dieing in the earthly realm, is only going home to that which we belong. Love, continued prayers, and a big cozy hug. 🙏

When I was going through cancer and took my kids to a movie, I would always be really triggered by the previews. Especially if they were a year out. I just love your family and particularly Ellis. He’s so humble receiving that award with such humility and grace. I cried when I heard the story about your kitty Kira screaming because the feral kitty I’ve been feeding for the last 3 years hasn’t come to my house to be fed for almost a month and I’m afraid he has been killed and eaten by a coyote. I wanted to take him in but couldn’t because of my cat Chloe who lives in my house and is ill. I hope you can keep your kitty inside where she will be safe from predators because she may not be so lucky next time. Happy Easter dear Apple family. I pray for your healing all the time.🙏🙏💖💖
