Away From Home | Discovering the Andaman Islands | Way Back Home - Chapter II, on June 8, 2016 World Oceans Day, as part of TheVibeOriginals.
In the Second Chapter of Way Back Home titled Away From Home: Discovering the Andaman Islands, filmmaker Rohan Thakur teams up with coral reef researcher Nayantara Jain to explore the Andaman Islands of India.
The series walks through an immersive experience, soaking in the sights, sounds and activities of the local Andamanis. Way Back Home is a first-of-its-kind travelogue on India as it trails young, authentic, passionate travellers embarking on a road to self-discovery.
Episode 1 : Tara picks up Rohan and Bharati from the airport, before embarking on a ten-hour ferry "Dering" to the Little Andamans. As they set sail, they witness a school of dolphins giving them company, before they reach Little Andamans. Here they discover Andamans' famed forests with trees the size of "three-storied buildings," and some of the most surreal sights and sounds, such as "The Big Waterfall."

I really don't know why India has neglected these islands.... Lakshadweep and Andaman could easily be our Maldives/Mauritius/Phuket/Krabi/Bali etc. We need to develope tourism infrastructure there..... Foreigners would love to visit them as an alternative to the already saturated Phuket, Krabi islands

I really loved the video but the waterfall looked like a crocodile's favourite place to hang out. Did a bit of research and learned that it was infested with snake's and crocs till a few years ago and there have been croc spottings in the recent years as well and tour guides generally guide against swimming there. another fun fact! This waterfall is located on Little Andaman island which is known for having a crocodile population and with rise in deaths due to crocodile attacks in Andaman, I would request everyone to be a bit vary and do your own research! loved the series. :)

Why is there so much soil deposit under the waterfall? The water is very murky, a lot more than some waterfalls I consider murky in Japan due to deforestation. Do they have plantations or are they deforesting upstream?
