I feel like they were both wrong in a sense, like Daniel should have not reacted the way he did, but also it didn't help that he saw Jeremy. Jean should have at least brought up Jeremy when she was showing interest back into Daniel, but she's not wrong as well, she didn't expect Daniel to see the letter, and she probably would have told him sometime soon anyway. She also lingered around for Jeremy but everybody makes those mistakes. Both of them in a sense, did the wrong thing, but they weren't wrong. It was an unexpected situation for both, and that's okay. That's life. No one is ever prepared for stuff like this because they don't come often. It's a learning curve for both people and its ultimately how they learn and progress from it that's important.
