That was amazing but I was more so heart broken that they wouldn't get to experience all that together and there is no way for either of them to communicate so whether or not they'll ever see each other again is all up to chance (and pretty unlikely) Usually when a really really special someone gets away from you you try to forget them but he's living his life in remembrance of the one that got away and he'll probably never get back! Idk why I watch these, I cant handle it! lol
@jacquelinesung65358 жыл бұрын
I think the people who say it's sad they didn't get together don't understand the story. Although you may like other people, it's about chemistry AND timing. Sometimes it isn't right for both of you and sometimes people need to leave. What matters is you touched each other's lives and experiences may be shared if you let them. :)

meeting somebody in your life doesn't always mean you'll end up with them, but rather the opportunity they end up guiding you to without you knowing. They gave each other a new meaning in life. She traveled the world because of meeting him, and because they liked each other at the wrong time, got him out of the grocery store to travel and see what she has seen. It's how the universe works. This is turn has changed both their outlook on life and probably mindset and are now doing amazing things. Beautiful...

You don't even know what poor means you lucky bastard. Even with best job here, and I save everything I can. I will be needing 10 years to save enough money to travel America or Europe(just a single spot). And only if I save every penny possible for the trip. But need to save 20 years if I had regular job. That's like spending your whole life to see a city. Lol
@sammygill83498 жыл бұрын
This short was great! Loved the pacing and filmography, and I didn't think it was too cheesy. Also, lots of people in the comments section are mentioning quite sarcastically that it "must be nice to have money to travel" - if you're actually serious about having these experiences, that shouldn't be an issue. You don't have to go very far to find adventure or explore. Even if you can't afford to go to someplace far, just look at a map of your surroundings, and see what transportation you have available. There are lots of beautiful places around us but we don't usually know about it. Sometimes all it takes is a bus ride to get to some incredible places. And if it's only meaningful to you if you're going very far, you can always save up and wait for a time in your life (which will most certainly come at some point) when you do have the means to go wherever in the world you want -- they didn't specify when in time James went traveling. Anywho, thank you to everyone who helped out with this short for bringing it to us ^_^
@morewongfu8 жыл бұрын
Precisely! Most ppl get comfortable with their own surroundings not realizing there's beautiful places all around us. The cities we live in might be tourist attractions for ppl in other parts of the world. Remember that 😉

So is this a story from Phil's past? :D I remember he mentioned during Lunchbreak that one of his works in the past is from a certain grocery store. There's a line in the grocery aisle confrontation regarding "baggage", within a grocery store. I see what you did there. :P I liked how Lynn(?) is encouraging James to go out there and explore, to know himself more, just as how exploring let her understand herself. Not all stories end in happy ever after, sometimes life is just like that. Great video guys. :)

I really loved this one. I know you guys love to do drama, and it's part of the reason why I subbed you all those years ago. My only little critique is that maybe, just maybe, once in a blue moon, you could do something that has an all around happy ending. You know, guy gets the girl sort of thing. Some people think happy endings are just cliche, but I disagree. As much as there is drama in life there is also happiness. I'd just love to see a happy moment captured in one of your shorts. This wasn't a bad ending, but it was open and unsure. I guess I like closure on stories. Take of that as you will...I'ms o nervous Single by 30 will end sadly. I love it so much and look forward to all the new episodes, but you guys don't always take the happy road in your stories as I mentioned. Guess I'll find out in a few weeks when it finishes up. Thanks for all the great videos over the years, I still love your stuff, just had an opinion.

I guess it's all about perspective. To someone like me, this kind of ending is the best ending it could have been. Kinda reminds me of spirited away. There's a touch of romance but in the end the bigger picture has nothing to do with romance and leans more towards a personal narrative with a friendship as the catalyst. But that's just my opinion. And I really look forward to their next video! :)

Like I said, I loved the video. It just became something I wasn't expecting. Which can both be good and bad. And I do know they have made happy ending type videos before, it just seems lately that they've gone down a different path with more drama and less happy. More stuff dealing with break ups type of stuff. Again, just my opinion, I still like their stuff overall. They are one of the greats on KZbin.

How does Wong-Fu make me cry with every damn video?
@maryt10348 жыл бұрын
I really liked this short and it unexpectedly made me tear up at the end. I think it's real deep to choose yourself and doing what's right for you even if it means leaving someone who may be good for you. Choosing yourself despite everything and everyone else. Just really thoughtful piece. One of my favorites.

I could easily tell before if it was Phil or Wes' writing. But this one. It's like Phil and Wes made love and had a baby.

hahahahaha the perfect description..i was confused bcus it has both wes and Phil's vibes there
@draconadjawners6674 жыл бұрын
@@bighandsjohn phil writes serious love stories dat deal with mostly relationships that dont work out but makes a healthy improvement in d luvers lyf....nd wes writes unconventional or sci fi luv stories... This one ws lyk a mix of both

I don't understand why people say this is a bad ending. The ending is pretty inspirational. Maybe some people expect this to be a love story? I actually love the ending. It is more interesting than the rest and the travel scenes are beautiful.

Oh gosh! All the drama shorts you make are so wonderful. It seems awkward, but I love sad drama shorts. Feeling the sadness, being vulnerable, heartbreak because of the film even if the end is open or not. My moto: Felling the sadness, being heartbroken are the emotions that we need to be prepared for a sad or worse world.

Three seconds in and I had to pause the video to switch to my 'good headphones' and get the full experience. Was not disappointed. This was truly a pleasure to watch. The cinematography, the natural dialogue, the acting, the ideas communicated through the writing, it all came together so beautifully. Thank you.
