Hi Ellis, I'm Juan the guy from Local Visitante. First of all, thank you for stopping by the place and publishing your visit, although it would have been nice if you told me about your channel because I didn't know about it and i really like the content. Also, I tell you that what you calculated was wrong. $93,000 Argentine pesos are £74 pounds, our exchange rate is £1 pound = $1243 Argentine pesos. I hope you didn´t pay everything with card because the exchange was not going to favor you at all, however if you exchanged £ for Argentine pesos in cash everything would have been much cheaper. Unfortunately, in our country we have two exchange markets, an official one that we cannot access and the parallel one with the values that I mentioned. I hope you had a great time in Argentina and you can visit again in the future, it was a pleasure to welcome you in the store.

I have just been to Argentina and I know that their currency right now is very confusing due to inflation. But if you would have gotten money out using Western Union, you get 1000 pesos for 1 pound, which makes it really cheap. This is called the blue dollar rate and that is the official rate, but the banks and online currency sites can’t follow the inflation, and that’s why they use a very high rate.

I don't think so, that's not black/yellow but navy/yellow, probably Rosario Central or Atlanta. But there was probably one Peñarol shirt at 13:47. And yes, your Argentinian jersey is original and it was made in Argentina.

Oh bro, the issue of currency exchange in Argentina is complex due to the country's economy, but basically you have an official value (£1=$424) and a parallel value in the market (£1=$1094), we are talking about a double difference! That's why if you are tourists, I recommend that you get good advice on this topic to take advantage of it. For example, the Boca Juniors shirt at Nani Camisetas with the "parallel" sterling exchange rate would have actually cost you £200. (I hope I make myself understood, use the translator for this).
@camilagrgicevic2890 Жыл бұрын
It's unfortunate that no one told you about the difference on dollar blue rate, but if it makes you feel better, you helped the country more paying by card. It's not the tourists obligation to do so, and most prefer to proffit off inflation, but well, you couldn't have known. It's also quite dangerous for a tourist to exchange on the black market, you could have gotten scammed and given fake bills.
