Dude, you stop coming up on my feed and I just found you again. I’ve so missed this build it’s coming along awesome. Congrats on 50,000 subs too by the way and that mural is awesome.

@@jasonhovey815 yea last video took some time. I had limited time to get in the shop which bummed me out but we did it! And thank you 50,000 amazing people was a shock for me. I could never imagined that. All because cool humans like you supporting so I appreciate it big man!

You should be able to do a wiggle cut in your settings for piercing thick plate, I do that for anything thicker than 1/2” and it helps a lot. I saw your high pinion short and you’ll be fine on the coast side of the gear but if you run big power do a quarterly inspection, I’ve done it on many rear steer builds and the ring and pinion deflect a little bit and tend to break easier. Love the build man you’re killing it!
@RetroFabworks7 ай бұрын
Ahh you are the man thanks for the support! I ended up doing a edge start and it was fine. The rear will actually be on the drive side. As for the front I want to see if I can tun a low pinion to high and maybe I can get it on the drive . But I haven’t looked at that yet.

I am loving this build, it is such a inspiration for me to see a shell of a car become a performance monster and i cant wait to do similar things with my truck, so many ideas, keep making these videos for everyone to see your art
@RetroFabworks10 ай бұрын
Thats awesome of you to say! Glad it brings you inspiration. This car means a lot to me personally so I try my best with the editing and telling a story. So far the engineering of the awd system and the editing have been kicking my butt. But every time I finish a video and sit back.. I get the inspiration for the next one haha…..It’s s viscous cycle!

@@RetroFabworks totally understand, the white board I have has been abused for about a year now trying to figure out a good mechanical AWD system for performance use, its turning out to be quite the head scratch.

So impressed with how quickly you execute man. I spend weeks and months planning the pieces in my head before I execute. I gotta learn from you😂. Killer work as usual.

I really appreciate it! I think about this thing every minute of the day so it may help in the process. But I actually have to back track often. I just came across a large design problem in the rear and have to remove a bunch of tubes . But figuring out the engineering is the most fun for me sometimes it gets a bit daunting but I just keep at it.

i like how you are not afraid to mess up or having to redo things. I always try to pre plan and avoid mistakes. Maybe i should make some mistakes;)@@RetroFabworks

@@immortalcars5256 this project is a huge undertaking and things are going to happen. I want to bring people with me on the journey and show the messy side of things as well as the wins. It would not be honest if I edited the videos to make me look good all the time. So get ready and hold on because you will see it all on this channel!

That’s a wild painting, are you going to clear coat over it to protect it? I like the in depth tech, long weld and grinding shots are neat to look at but honestly they just get fast forward through
@RetroFabworks6 ай бұрын
Do you mean the mural or the car haha I think making long form videos it’s impossible to make everyone happy. I usually just edit it until I get a bit teary eyed - then I know I am proud. But some people love certain things and then other people dislike the same things. So I just keep making them as informative as I can. Then I put a little artistic twist to it.😀

Great video as always. It would be cool to dig in a little deeper and talk about how the motion ratio on the control arm affects the rate as well. Especially since that’s where you have your adjustability.

Been enjoying the editing process to much I am sure once it wears off I’ll get more tech based and to the point lol

A longer arm will lessen the effects of the bar. The shorter the arm, the stiffer the bar feels when cornering

Yea! That part is coming ! I want to introduce it to the channel soon. It’s very special to me so I need to figure out how to tell it’s story. It’s the first car I ever owned and my father wanted to get it with me then he suddenly passed. I have owned it since I was 15.
