Join us LIVE for Part 2 at the Talyllyn Railway for the Awdry Extravaganza 2024 with the arrival of Sir Handel, Rusty and some other friendly faces. Hosted by @Terrier55Stepney‬ with many surprises along the way!
The Awdry Extravaganza celebrates the life and work of Rev. Wilbert Awdry, creator of Thomas the Tank Engine. Running over the weekend of July 20th-21st, this popular event promises to be full of fun for fans of all ages. With special trains, talks, exhibitions and livestreams, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Fantastic livestream even though there were some technical difficulties really enjoyed watching the event well done to all the staff and volunteers for their hard work and dedication persevering the legacy of the Rev W Awdry’s stories of Thomas the tank engine and all his friends for future generations to enjoy thanks again and see you next year 👍💙🚂

That was great, although I think there must've been a bad connection explain why this was split into part 2. Still, what an honor learning about the history work by the Rev. W Awdry.

Great work on the stream hopefully next year for the 5th extravaganza since it'll be a special one hope there'll be another just like awdry diorama challenge and maybe ill be able to make it to wales and see the engines in person

Hello Talyllyn Railway I like the engine stories of Talyllyn,Edward Thomas etc but you forgot one engine Dolgoch I like to know his story I watch the story of Talyllyn but what about Dolgoch. I hope you can make Dolgoch story

Thomas was proposed as a ‘Jinty’, and Edward was proposed as an LNER 2-4-0 Engine.

Well I’m guessing Sir Handel’s been pretty mad now as he’s lost the race and probably has been ranting to the others, would’ve been bragging like mad if he won though 2:13:28 “Sorry Sir Handel” said Terrier55Stepney as he patted him on the side of the smokebox. “Well I say” snorted Sir Handel “the very nerve!” as the people went about talking and laughing about how one was going to have shirts for if Sir Handel and the passengers won and the car lost. 2:14:37 Sir Handel then blew his whistle and wheeshed as he disappeared away in a cloud of steam. The people live on KZbin could swear they could hear someone snorting away and ranting loudly in disbelief about losing to a car. They weren’t sure, but they thought the voice was Sir Handel.
