AWE Touring Edition Exhaust Install for My 10th Gen Honda Civic Si Sedan!

In this video I install the new AWE Tuning Touring Edition Exhaust system into my 2017 Honda Civic Si. This exhaust system is a full 3" cat-back exhaust system that features their patented 180 Technology to eliminate drone and deliver a unique sound for the 1.5L Turbocharged engines in the latest civic models. The install was quick, and if I wasn't filming I'd say it would have taken me about 2.5 hours tops. @@cactusjack1816 I ended up getting the Awe touring exhaust. And I couldn't be happier with my decision. While I do enjoy the sound of the Greddy, MAPerformance, and 27won exhausts, to me this one just does it all perfectly. Tame, but low deep note when cruising and loud when full throttle.

Exhaust is really only difficult once the car is old enough to have started rusting. Exhaust bolts are the first thing to rust in a car i swear

Sounds good from what I'm hearing so far. For those saying it's too quiet, you have to factor in if you're gonna go with a catless down pipe at some point in the future, as that would change the exhaust note even more a d make it louder. I have an RV6 dp/fp combo, so this exhaust probably wouldn't work for me as it includes it's own front pipe. Not sure if they offer one without the front pipe

Yeah me too, salty roads ruin exhaust so quick. I'm just grateful none of the exhaust hardware broke 😂. 2020 civic looks good, but I don't feel like the performance updates would make me want to trade up. But it's nice to keep the market thirsty for the new civic platform and continue the momentum with sales 🤷🏻‍♂️

Did it void your warranty? I just got a 2017 si recently, traded my grand cherokee 2018 for it to save some cash. The si is my new daily now. Am looking to do some mods in the future but kinda afraid to void warranty

From my experience with warranties (and this varies from state to state, dealer to dealer and so on), bolt on mods like suspension, body mods, shifter parts, and even an exhaust shouldn't cause much of a hassle if you're going in for warranty work. In my state, a dealer cannot deny warranty claims if they can't prove that the "mod" caused the issue for said warranty claim. So for example, if you needed a transmission replaced, the dealer can't deny the claim just cuz you have an exhaust/intake. However let's say you have a custom aftermarket tune, and the engine grenades itself. Because the tune directly effects engine performance, you'll have a tougher time trying to get a replacement engine under warranty. How this helps 🙏

Did you just jack up the car towards the middle and not on the pinch weld where you placed the jack stand? Is that a legit spot?

Pinch welds run down the sides, but I wouldn't jack it up from the very center. I just found a few spots that were exposed that we're still closest to the designated Jack points so I could lift up the car to slide the jack stands under those designated points.

Hey @Pawinning I installed this exhaust system and have been running it for a week now. Every time I start up my car I get a loud rattle down in the pipes like it is hitting something. Does this happen to you as well?

I would check to see if maybe one of your heat shields just above the exhaust are making contact with the exhaust pipes. You can either bend the heat shield away from the pipes, or rework how the pipes are rotated in the respective joint to provide more clearance between the pipes and the heat shields/chassis of the car. Hope this helps!

I deleted the rear mufflers on my sport and put in a y pipe and 2 long tips to fill the gap of where that muffler mess was and it sounds better than this. Not hating, your complete kit looks super nice but spendin all that $ isnt always all worth it. I researched all the other kits 1st and what i did has a way different constant deep tone comp

Hey man for whatever reason I cannot get the front pipe to stop making contact with the heatshield. I adjusted it twice and stayed quiet for a bit but eventually started rattling again. Its always on start up & acceleration 1-2nd. Was wondering if you had any tips please & thank you!!

This looks like it has to be one of those more tedious systems to install. Installing the Greddy DDR, it's just the three segments and you don't have to fiddle with clamps.

I put down about 33-35ft lbs and called it a day. Didn't see anything loosen yet, but I recommend putting in some anti seize too just in case

Feel bad for you getting an Si tbh, I have a buddy who has a 2013 Si, modded of course, its on jackstands currently cause hondas poor engine design, hes since bought a miata and is now stocking the civic out and selling to get an EVO. Appreciate the lookout! I made sure to keep the jack placed on the pinch weld and not the actual side rocker. Kept the jack placement as close as I could to the actual jacking points closest to the front wheels so I could lower the car onto jack stands onto those jack points. I do agree that if the jack was placed on the actual side trim it would fold in the rocker.
