Heavy gunners have always had issues with them walking around instead of being suppressive fire units, aka standing in place and slowly trying to push the player or hanging back to allow units to rush in. In the sim heavy gunners eventually walk behind pillars then lose track of you which is stupid. We really need an AI update patch before they take yet another month long break for christmas again.

I liked everything except the part where you "fight" him. No abilities, no weapons, no anything... again?? Like the Grendel farm, Nihil was just a disappointment and the only thing that redeems it is that you only need to do it once. I mean I get that if we could use our stuff then this boss fight would be easier than tying your shoe, but that just addresses how the approval of things like Mesmer Skin were mistakes, which is a different issue altogether. But I mean hey, they nerfed Defy from invulnerability to armor, so who knows.

Slam attacks also send a shockwave straight ahead that travels quite far (similar to exalted blade attacks). That shockwave can also shatter the glass enemies so u don't have to slam directly on top of the glassed enemies

I did not sleep on rending crane, just saying :D Before I stance formed my Dokhram I had to double check, that it works like aura because I wanted tempo royale mostly for Ludens Hydroid build. For other things like pulling with exodia hunt or moving trough the map fast and kill on the way, rending seems better. It's just that normal combo on rending procs hunt (even tho you don't crack the ground on slams) but not hydroids passive, which would also mean that cracked ground is an indicator for Hydro.

Rending Crane is "slept on" because it doesn't match most of the heavy blades' default stance. Might also consider tossing in the Deimos mod set that causes impact explosion with 0 cooldown on lifted enemy kill.

I've been using Quickening more than Fury and Berserker lately. Decent attack speed and combo chance. Multiplier builds up real quick. Works very well with Blood Rush and Weeping Wounds. I don't see people using it though. Is there something I'm missing?

I'm guessing people are overlooking it because it used to be a channeling mod. That and its speed buff is less than Primed Fury or stacked Berserker. But if you're stuck with normal Fury and a status weapon, that's definitely worth a look.

And how about explosion radius of dat glass ball? Can it be modyfied? You aint tested it? And why tafuchs you r using melee bane in that heavy attack build against corrupted? If we need to use it to kill 170 CHG in Sim then it's not very good of a weapon. I mean we have much better choices for da same build even with increased efficiency. I can see that it's viable and players can have fun with it on low lvl missions but I'm bit more interested in making it an actual everyday steelpath killing machine.

The aoe can't be changed with range mods. The only thing better in the bane slot would be a primed bane, they increase heavy attack dmg by alot. Do some research.

I'd rather used range but since it aint doing anything on this weapon then there is no better choice then bane mods for real. But it's quite annoying to change it before every mission IMO. Which is the reason why noone uses it in their everyday general purposes builds. Well, allmost noone.

@@bardingorrekson6573 fair point. My Opticor Vandal Procs 400/500k up to 1M+ slash procs with a min-maxed set up. So that's something which truly can kill anything. Even lvl cap steel path heavies currently. You use whatever feels good, but bane mods should be a priority for dot focused builds as you can ignore raw elemental damage. Pets/companions can proc viral for you if that's a concern, especially the new panzer cat.

The boss takes like a minute and you throw glass at him, I don't think there is any need for a guide.

Dodge the projectiles then grab back the crytals that those projectiles left on the ground and shoot them bach to the big crytal shards that are floating in the scenario till the boss loses his invulnerability and keem shooting crystals to him. Repeat 3 time and done. Any warframe is good to do it and no weapons needed.
