Ingredients
- 1 pound of whole un-shelled shrimp (approx 16)
- I added some garlic because we love it, and Olive oil
- a couple of minced shallots
- 4 tablespoons of butter
- 1 tablespoon of curry powder
- splash of Pernod (approx 4 Tbsp)
- 1 cup cream
- sprinkle of chopped parsley
- salt and pepper

I enjoy your recipes and videos a lot. Thank you for the work. Next time you want to do a wok shrimp curry, I have a suggestion for a recipe for you to try - do Shrimp Malaikari. It is a traditional Bengali (from the state of West Bengal in India, or the county Bangladesh) dish. if i had to pick just one cast iron thing it would be a dutch oven and trying to make this work in it lol... but then you would gain other things like soups and chilies etc

@@SmokingDadBBQ I think the cast iron wok is just about the only type of cast iron I don't have. I just got a cast iron plate setter. My kamado didn't come with one. I live in Michigan, so it's cold here too! I was concerned about the ceramic cracking in the cold! I'm loving it so far. It seems to work well for heat deflection and great for searing!

Great cook :) I love to toast my cauliflower on a dry pan with just salt and pepper until you get browned edges and that to me tastes like " nuts " Great for curries! Or just for salad. Looking forward to your next cook x

@@DamianInman Coconut milk has carbs, but different brands of coconut milk have fewer carbs, potentially significantly so. I think this recipe would be 100% better with coconut milk, but, there are zero carbs in whipping cream if you need to avoid carbs completely.

sadly it seems they discontinued it but any third party option will work. theirs was 14" in size

I'm local to you... if you don't mind my asking, do you get your stuff from barbecues galore? Chadwicks and hacks or somewhere else? I am planning to get my first KJ this year... probably going for the big joe 3 (although I believe I may end up on a waiting list).

I'm not a curry fan, but I may try this recipe. About how much cauliflower did you use? The cauliflower recipe was in your comments so I'm trying to get a point of reference to the other ingredients.

i am not sure, it might work with the dome open... will need to play with it. the wok is 14" vs. the jr 13" so it definitely won't close but it might sit on the rack ok
