Haunting to see the A380 emerge silently from the fogged-over runway, the far-off sound of the engines getting absorbed by the mist, gracefully lifting its nose it's not long before it gets lost in the mist once again. Wow what a fantastic way to open the show. Timed the stream to perfection!

AIRBUS also has a paint flaking, cracking problem on their planes. It's difficult to maintain paint or stain on horizontal surfaces....all verticular surfaces on my deck (railing spindles) require repainting every 5 years, and the deck floor requires it every 2 years. I believe you're right, UV and angle has a lot to do with degrading the painted surface.
