AWESOME Compact Folding Survival Bow (CFSB) Review

Getting one for me and my son. He's 10, and we've been saving up subtle survival gear for a few years so that if something happened to society we'd have a better chance of caring for and protecting ourselves but most importantly his mother ( my wife ) and his two sisters. He loves it. We've got books on hunting, building shelters and fires, books on edible plants. We have water purification tablets and filters, knives, a telescopic fishing kit, catapults, bottled water and tinned food. We have spent a couple of hundred all in but it is a great way to bond over an interesting topic and spread over a couple of years it's not a noticeable expense. The original builder of this bow Go Primal Now suddenly went out of business in 2019 and it was a shock to the bushcraft community. Glad to see Sinoart and others taking up the torch. That riser is probably compatible with all other survival bow and takedown longbow limbs, as long as they fit in there. It is a multifuel and efficient platform.

That really is an amazing bow 🏹 the release is so smooth and clean. I've had my eye on these types of bows for a while, but it seemed to good to be true. It's nice to be proven wrong sometimes. Excellent review brother ✊

Love the folding bows. I have the PGU in 55 lbs and it wacks a punch. I like how compact they are 🤙 especially in a bugout situation.

I have the Primal version. Pro's and Con's. I like how sturdy it is. Also there's no loose pieces that can get lost, unlike takedown bow limbs. I dislike how the arrow rest tears the vanes/fletching off arrows. The square-ish grip isn't comfortable to hold.

Are the limbs alluminium or fiberglass? The great thing about a traditional bow over a compound is that you can make expedient arrows with Duck Tape fletching as well without so much worry arrows exploding on launch.

I got the 40 and it’s very powerful. Could take down a human assailant or deer. The 60 could take larger game like elk

I have a 40# SAS survival bow and after 100 or so shots you really feel it! All these bows are just so cool and a lot more accurate than I ever thought. Doug at SAS is really helpful and sends worldwide

These are not “comfortable to shoot” for long periods. But they are as accurate as the archer/person using it. Not pretty is functional, I have the original PGU for a few years. Unfortunately they have closed their business

I think in Wyoming, to use a Bow for hunting, it must have a minimum draw weight of 50 lbs. But yes, that is a cool bow.

Most definitely👍👍 1. Make sure you pull the bands back even. Should look like a perfect sideways V 2. Don’t try to shoot too heavy in the beginning. Use lighter bands and maybe shoot clay ammo 3. Pull the bands back like you would bow and arrow with your elbow high (like you’re elbowing someone behind you) 4. Don’t pinch in front of the ammo. Pinch ammo between thumb and index. 5. Put the target that the top end of your top fork of shooting sideways in gangster position
