Very slick. Introducing and reviewing these innovative manufactures is a great service to the community.

Welp, now I've gone and ordered one. Looks like a great bag! Very excited to throw this on my MTB for some much more useful carry.

The handle bar bag is very simular to the REI handlebar bag I have. The thing I like about the REI bag is that it has an inner top flap that can be zipped close, so if you crash things don't go flying all over.

Another rando-style bag you may like and want to look into is from Aldr Works. It also expands and has a roll top functionality under the expandable flap. You can't access items while riding, but still a fantastic bag nonetheless. I'm very happy with mine.

I'd love to see a video on bag options/storage solutions for those who ride small frames and are short. Depending on brand I ride either a small or size 50. The small frame makes it nearly impossible to run frame bags unless I decide to have no water bottles or cages. My 42cm bars are so narrow most handlebar bags overtake all the hand room. Large seat bags are difficult to use as the space between the seat back and rear tire is not very large because I'm so short I run my seat low. Based on all the bags you've reviewed, I'm sure you may have some unique options or creative ideas. Maybe include a look into Wooftooth's B-Rad carry system and if any options might help there.

Honestly past a certain level of shortness you’re better served with a rack and pannier system.

Really like that style of short frame bag. As someone who's knees tend to brush the top tube, frame bags just don't work for me, as my knees rub them constantly. Those shorter bags are in front of my legs, so not a problem.

Totally agree with you on the option for a front pocket - the current strap sort of reminds me of the waist pack that Swift did with Kitsbow. I also feel like the flap on top could have been designed a little wider for better weatherproofing or maybe just shaped a bit differently. I prefer a bag like this to something like the Ortlieb that another commenter mentioned because the Ortlieb tends to put the weight too far from the bars with that big plastic mount that it uses. I find them terrible for handling unless you put so little weight in them that they're not bringing anyway... A design like this bag keeps the weight nice and snug to the bars.

I really like handlebar bags but with a lot of them where to put a front light can be a bit challenging.

Unfortunately, the rando bag suffers the same as my Outershell... the top flap does not cover enough of the opening to keep rain out. Thanks!

@@outbackwack368 I've been riding with these styles of bags for years. Literally on an 18 month continuous tour. They're not made out of tissue paper and I think people are way too paranoid. Just use some common sense.

Got secondary brakes on a dropbar, so rely on rear rack. I wonder if stand off would give hand on brake room?
@daniel376652 жыл бұрын
Would have been worth comparing it to the Ortlieb handlebar QR. Same price, over-stuffable and solves the drooping issue.. just not rando style.
@josephfarrugia23502 жыл бұрын
the plastic attachment puts the Ortlieb's (loaded) weight too far front of the bars for comfortable handling IMO
@daniel376652 жыл бұрын
@@josephfarrugia2350 Good point, although i haven't had issues with mine (so far!). The big standoff was actually for me the main deciding feature as I found no alternative that works well with the cables and accessories on my flatbar, besides using semi-permanent brackets or clickfix
