I live in Kentucky now but was born and raised in Indiana. We had a pizza place called Pizza King. They made the best hot submarine sandwiches and Stromboli sandwiches. Their sub sandwiches were made on foot long sub bread & was full of different lunch meats, Italian lunch meats with pizza sauce and veggies. The Strombolis were ground Italian sausage and breakfast sausage combined , fried and drained well. Add the pizza cheeses to both sandwiches and baked in a pizza oven. I still make a version of them at home. I usually buy a fresh garlic loaf and dig a lot of the bread out then fill it up with my meats, cheese and veggies. Bake covered for 20-25 minutes then uncover to brown and crisp up. Ranch dressing is a good dipping sauce for homemade pizza and sandwiches. These look super yummy. Good to see them young men in the kitchen with you. ❤

Miss Karen, that is a great idea - making pizza from hoagie rolls. In the days of old, my mother use to use Thomas English Muffins and put the cheese and tomato on those! Smaller but still delicious! That Velveeta melted cheese with the RoTel is so delicious also. Have a great evening.

Hey Miss Karen...neat idea making the pizzas on hoagie buns...we love queso with our Mexican food down here in Texas ...I use the Velveeta block, & Rotell original...Im Spanish but do not like hot spicy food...can you believe that...ha! But I also add a can of cream of celery soup & it makes it so creamy with a good taste...I start warming it for 3 minutes on power level 7 in the microwave & stir until my cheese is melted to where I want it...let me know if you try it this way & what you think That's great having the boys help you...ya'll have a good day!

What a nice, decent family. Boys, learning from Grandma is THE BEST!! We notice talent when we see one, as well as the soft lovely make-up, pretty jewellery, nails done. LOVE!!! We call these little breads "warm sandwich". It's for nights when Mom didn't feel like cooking but wanted to present some delicious food. That cheesesauce looks great too with tomato. Never thought of that, xx..
