Awesome video! China Airlines 747 was making a trek in the snow on the taxiway. Korean Airs 747 has visible snow accumulated on itself. Would like to see how they plow the runways and taxiways, if you can for next time? Thanks.

苫小牧在住の小生　猛吹雪の上空を飛び交うジェット音を聞きながら離着時の光景を想像しておりましたが素晴らしい映像を拝見し感動しました。多分国道36号線付近からの撮影と思われますが撮影の日時と気温風速積雪等の情報があればよかったかな。また機体各部例えば エンジンや雪に食い込む車輪とか翼のフラップの動きなどあれば迫力がよりましたことでしょう。除雪車群の出動場面はとても良かったとおもいます。

It went from not too bad visibility to extremely bad when the snow was falling! Uhh, not all jetliners and pilots are CAT IIIc endorsed, correct me if I am wrong- most are not.

Beautiful... I am surprised they don't have a de-icing truck stationed at the holding point there. The 747/4s looked like they needed a spray of fluid.

Visibility? I think it is a little tricky to fly in this condition, even for the best-trained pilots! Uhh, not just visibilty, snow on the runway can make it very slippery and one mistake may cause a disaster. No offence.

I can't believe they even ALLOWED flights to take off and land in this kind of weather. But more importantly the horrible visibility. These jets are quite literally cloaked in the shadows of heavy snowfall. So one would think an accident is just waiting to happen in this type of situation. Quite unsafe indeed.

苫小牧は人口17万人 空港なのにイオンモールのようでスタバ、映画館があるのがおかしいです。 苫小牧のイオンモールにイオンシネマがあるので映画館は必要か 小、中学生も人数が多いですね

意外なことに低視程下の地上交通としての旅客機はある意味、自動車以下の安全性しかない。 最低気象条件に近い状況は大概はしゅう雪であることが多く、瞬間的には基準を切ることもままありがち。 当然、除雪も追いつかずみるみるうちに路面の摩擦係数も変わっていく。 そんな中でも出発機が行列を成すようなシチュエーションはやってくる。 タワーにASDEはあっても最終的に航空機間の衝突回避はパイロットに委ねられている。 幸いにしておかまを掘る事例はあまり聞かないが、滅多にない状況ほど対処は難しい。 TCASはその名の通り空中でしか使えないが、いずれ地上でも有効なものにする必要があるかも知れない。 逆に言えばそんな厳しい状態になる空港は世界広しといえど千歳ぐらいなのかとも思う。
