0:30 first time I've seen a Streamlined K4 in Lego form! 1:28 I guess it doesn't like those 3D-printed switches! 3:00 that Montreal locomotive works Forney engine is something unusual to model in Lego! 3:25 also the first time I've heard a Lego engine have sounds (except for the Duplo ones), and the first time i've seen a Lego Crusader train! 3:33 the split pilot reminds me of an O gauge diesel! these were some very nice Lego train builds!
@GlennHolland7 жыл бұрын
I've had a streamlined K4 since 2014, just rebuilt it last November. Crusader is a little older, about 2 years now, and the first one I have to incorporate the Dallee Electronics sound system. Works great. The split pilot is necessary so the locomotive can accommodate switches and turns. Glad you liked the layout.

What are the train wheels from Lego and the Motor I don't know
@Heroduothecomedian7 жыл бұрын
those streamline Penn locomotives don't look to big to me.those locomotives seem shorter then longer compared to the actually trains and there model counter part but that only thing i see wrong with them and that just maybe because of not having enough lego blocks or something lol and do you have any videos of the lego big boy running?
@TrainTsarFun7 жыл бұрын
Wow! I am shocked. Nobody has ever been critical of them like this before. These trains are HUGE compared to the LEGO trains. MUCH larger. The PennLUG trains are superior to ANY LEGO train MOCs I have seen in person or online.
@Heroduothecomedian7 жыл бұрын
well i wasn't even going by other Lego trains products because i dont own any because like anything model trains anymore it not a cheap hobby anymore.but what i was going by what it looks like and compared to other pen streamline trains in this video and what the locomotive looked like compared to it real life counter part.sorry if i upset you trains tsar fun,that wasn't what i was meaning to do at all
@GlennHolland7 жыл бұрын
All of our locomotives and cars are properly scaled using original drawings of each locomotive and car, using a scale of 8 studs = 10 feet, roughly 1:45 scale. Train Tsar is right, our trains ARE much larger in size compared to 95% of other Lego trains you may see, and often more detailed. Shortage of parts has never been an issue - we always order what we think will get the job done. The problem with streamliners is that you have to capture very specific and particular angles and curves with an often limited part selection in a limited space. Even still, my Crusader and streamlined K4s locomotive are built at 9 studs wide, compared to the usual 8, to accommodate more detail and extra bulk.
@Heroduothecomedian7 жыл бұрын
i really enjoyed the work and detail you put into the streamliners.it better then anything i could ever do lol.but i mint no disrespect in the work you guys put into them.i only commented because because trains tsar fun said they looked big and they didn't look big to me compared to the K4 running around on the layout as well.they seemed a little shorter was the only thing but even that didn't really seem right for me even saying that because you guys are working with legos and not actually building a plastic working model of it so you are limited to what you can do to a degree.i hope i didn't get you guys mad as well at my comment like i think i did to trains tsar fun
@GlennHolland7 жыл бұрын
No disrespect taken. I realize this style isn't for everyone. Glad you enjoyed watching the trains run!

How do you make Lego train tracks have those wide turns? And what kind of track is that. It doesn't look like official Lego train track
@TrainTsarFun7 жыл бұрын
While they do have some custom made tracks, those wide curves are actually LEGO straight tracks. You just don't connect one side. I'll do a video one day of how to make grand curves with straight tracks
@domtrains7 жыл бұрын
Train Tsar Fun Ok, I'll definitely watch that because I'm going to have a big train layout on a tablet and everything hopefully sometime in 2018 and I'll be using Lego trains as one of the lines on the layout

Why is the steam locomotive pulling the coaches backwards
@TrainTsarFun7 жыл бұрын
Do not know. Apparently in Europe they can only pull coaches one way I guess? The trains went back and forth between NY and Philadelphia so I do not think it matter the direction.
@GlennHolland7 жыл бұрын
That's a suburban tank locomotive. It was designed to go either way, similar to European locomotives.
@Panzer-5357 жыл бұрын
Central Railroad of New Jersey (CNJ) 4-6-4T H-1 class Suburban communter engine. The CNJ ran commuter service in New Jersey and New York and these H-1 class were used mostly on short branch lines. they were bi-directional steam locomotives. CNJ also ran push-pull operations with a steamer on both ends for lines that had no wyes or runarounds.
