@@aprilchaney250 oh this is where my nightmare scenario happened. The lines the precise V5 makes beautiful line, but if you keep your lab book on the bench and solvents and water spill on it, it can ruin pages because the ink is not resistant to anything. I nearly had a whole book written in precise B5 and staedtler triplus and marvy le pen get entirely lost. Stuff of nightmares. Now I have this giant bag of those former favorites that I am loathe to touch because it brings back the anxiety of trying to salvage lab notebook pages and a while notebook of EvoDevo notes. The Hi Tec C has a similar feeling when writing but is more resistant. I think it is same with the precise p-700 and p-500.

I really respect Pilot as an excellent manufacturer. Just about everybody uses a pen, and Pilot seems to have zeroed in on what different sorts of users want. Some people want a heavy, more expensive, work-of-art pen, but IMO those pens are more suited for signatures, or for display in an office, and they don't serve as well for regular, everyday writing. Everyday writers want to focus more on what they are writing about than on what they are writing with. They don't want the instrument to distract them from their work. The pens shown here are light, unobrustive, and easy to carry. They write smoothly and don't have to be refilled often. So, the user is free to focus on their actual work.

Never leaks or skips; lasts seemingly forever; an easy, affordable EDC; and best of all, it bonds with every writing goal, fine-lined and loyal. *BONUS POINTS* for its 🆒 name. I have even given up my preference for blue ink, to make the Boxy 100 my go-to favorite. It’s understandable how the Boxy 100 was overlooked for this video. Therein lies its beauty. II was a pen hoarder as a middle schooler and high schooler and used the RSVP, G2 and precise V5 regularly. I didn't like the large tip size and blobbiness of the RSVP, but i appreciated its smoothness. I loved the more "liquid" feel of the other two despite the feedback. Late 2000s and into the 2010s, I'd go to jetpens and look for the recommendations in my college's book store, which was surprisingly well stocked with similar or the same things. I'd try them in person and order larger quantities from Jet Pens. I came back recently while committing to switching from the Marvy, precise V5 and Triplus pens that I so loved. Through Jet Pens I discovered the HiTec C line, juice, and Jetstream lines, which I all use regularly now. Thanks for being part of my life for... over a decade!

You can also get suuuper subtle line variation with the plastic nib. Now I mostly use a fountain pen with rohrer & klingner sketchink lotte. But when I need a super fine line or a colour other than black, the pigma micron is what I reach for! That being said, if EF fountain pen nibs weren’t so damn scratchy, I would choose to use a Fountain pen for everything because I hate having to throw the plastic bodies of my microns away when I’ve used them up 💀

I tried in different countries as many vendors as i could. im in immunochemistry R&D so i know manufacturing. if we manufactured assays like they produce pens, we'd have a much darker pandemic. manufacturing should never be a valid issue in creating a poor product. and manufacturing actually demands to conduct experiments on the performance of the writing utensils
