My little granddaughter (not so little now at almost 26!) taught me how to use KZbin by teaching me how to watch you! Of course, my all-time favorite one is the "bachelor's pie". I do get lost in gazing at your pieces overall, as well as looking into all the details and every line, while you lay them down. Really love your artworks. (...one of the best pieces of art i ever perpetrated was done with a #2 pencil, a red Bic ballpoint, a 'True Blue Berol Prismacolor pencil ((when Berol still made Prismacolor, I had it saved up in my back pack for special occasions)), a black ink Pilot V5 and a black Sharpie, drawn and colored on a smooth white mat board....I got sent to go work at another store and was out of my usual cave/den and that was all I had to work with)

This channel basically made me draw (cause i kinda don't have traditional drawing stuff around me, being able to see somebody work with fountain pens and ballpoint pens kinda inspired me to do the same thing). I was never a big doodler but now that things have not turned out great for me lately this has definitely helped me channel something into that drawing.

When I draw in my flow-state, I have no way of portraying any of my feelings at that moment with words. But I very rarely get to the flow-state of drawing due to ADHD. I don't feel it necessary for you, Peter, to explain every little pen stroke you make, especially when your art mostly seems impressionistic already and I feel as though your art speaks for you. But, yeah, sometimes people want to know other people's thinking processes and... I guess that's just humane curiosity. Love your vids, keep em coming .

I feel like rewarding yourself with food is not a bad relationship with food. As long as you aren't hurting yourself (like eating exclusively sugar or incredibly large proportions) and it makes you happy there's nothing wrong with looking forward to eating. Especially as a reward because then you accomplished something and you get yummies! I just really love food and nobody is allowed to speak badly about it. 🤤

When you talk about your thought processes, I'm reminded of things said by the abstract painter, Jackson Pollock. Such as when he said "The modern artist is working with space and time, and expressing his feelings rather than illustrating." You work in a different medium, but I think you are a kindred spirit in your process. Kudos to you for sending Brian and drawing. That was an incredibly nice thing for you to do! Incidentally, I think perhaps a better term than "biological" shapes as opposed to mechanical would be mechanical versus organic shapes. If you are, as Pollock alluded, drawing your "feelings" rather than anything "real" (i.e., illustrating), I still think you are drawing something real, as your feelings are real, just not tangible.

But now I have a face full of stress zits!? *Ugh\moans* I've not been sleeping well either. Going to try now that your video relaxed me somewhat. Cool how you bought a premade picture and used the matt. I like matts. They seem to taylor your art in a classy way. Alrighty, I am glad you are doing well Peter. I am having some spagetti too tonight. I am half Sicilian and I should be making it from scratch like I used to. Made my own garlic bread too. My mothers recipe and a somewhat sweet sauce. It is famous amoungst my friends of which one bugged me so much for the recipe I finally wrote it down. It was a recipe you make and taste it as you go as it has this certain flavor. Made my own meat balls also. But I still adore my Grandmothers Chicken Catetore the best. Being from Sicily it is not made with tomatoes. But has a rich olive oil garlic flavor with one cup of wine. Ok, no more talk of food as I'll be dreaming I cant get the fridge open or some other tormenting food dream....lol? TC Peter and hope your weekend is special. ~❤~

And yeah, it's hard to say what you're thinking while you're drawing. I feel like the theoretical limit for how small a ball point pen ball bearing could get would be whatever the smallest size is that can still stick to and transfer ink. So nothing smaller than the ink molecules, and it has to be large enough to collect enough of those ink bits that the adhesion between the ink and the metal ball bearing can be broken and it can be transferred to paper. That's not really an answer, but it probably couldn't get as small as a single molecule of like, tungsten carbide.
