This song really means a lot to me, here goes... In 1988 as a youth I'd been skimming around punk for a couple of years and one night, id been out with my friend Andy, we'd gone to a pub that had a reputation and would also play your records if you took them in. Anyway as the night went on, a group of local fascist skinheads came to the pub, the main one had a problem with Andy going back a few years and starting kicking off. Andy told me to take his records and look after them. The next day i played his records amongst them a few conflict singles including "mighty and superior" One listen to this song and i was hooked for life. When i took Andy his records back, he had been beaten to a pulp, the skinheads had given him a real kicking and the main one had gone to his house later to finish him off. Unfortunately for him, Andy had a hatchet under his bed and buried it in the skinheads arm (he recovered with a large scar) Over the next 30+ years i followed conflict around the uk and got to know them pretty well, i even keep in touch with their ex bassist Paul to this day. Great video ,love your style.

I found your channel while searching for Big A Little A and watched both reactions to that and Bloody Revolutions and now this. Conflict was, as a kid getting into punk and hardcore, and is still such a big band for me and I'm 30 now still playing in bands since I was 13 because of bands like these. I still remember the first time I heard this song and the chills on the back of my neck when the lines "These people why can't they love? Human feelings don't they matter?" came up. Still do to this day. Respect for listening and reacting to this!

Kev Webb probably the most underrated guitarists in the UK anarcho punk movement. He was a great bloke and I used to have great chats with him in the mid 80s. RIP mate and Paco was the best drummer in the entire punk movement, unfortunately another RIP. Colin is still a great bloke, lyrically a genius, delivery 100% heartfelt! Your experience was visually how I felt back then, especially the gigs of the early and mid 80s. Thank you for being open minded and being honest! Top job!

Imagine a 14 yr old kid in 1982 Puerto Rican from the hood in Brooklyn New York listening to Punk. Not the norm in Hip Hop NYC at the time. (Which is still a influence on my life.) But I managed to find other kids of color that embraced Punk at clubs like CBGB. I still have bonds with people that I will know for the rest of my life. And every chance I get.
