Gah!!! Not a country band! Maybe country influenced a tiny little bit but this is more southern rock than anything else. Call it swamp rock. Born on the Bayou is hypnotic, trancelike. And the best use of tremolo rock guitar EVER!

Louis ck chooses to use himself as the bad example in jokes even if he didn’t really cut someone off - he explained that on a radio show once - it’s funnier to be the person making the mistakes and the point of the joke is that WE’VE ALL cut someone off in traffic at one point in our lives. So he’s allowing people to laugh at their own guilt, he does this with a lot of topics, his goal is to heal thru laughter he said “if you can take someone to a place in their mind where they feel uncomfortable and foreboding and make them laugh in that place, I think it helps them it relieves them”

First album I ever bought, back in 1976. Still sounds great. Boz Scaggs was my favourite artist when I was 14. Nobody else I knew had even heard of him. Also Steely Dan album The Royal Scam.

Great video, but I just wanted to say that you claiming this song resonates with the phrase ”stress builds character” makes me feel like you missed the whole point of the song. The lyrics in this song portray modern human life as a fruitless endeavor: “I gotta work everyday just to feed myself God, it makes me sick I just wanna curl up into a hole and die This, this isn’t worth it!” There’s not anything in the lyrics about the building of character or the idea of being rewarded in any way for our suffering. The title is sarcastic.
