I'm so greatful for this video Ryan, thank you! I bought a salmon from Mark C. At our logging show a few years back, and one the following year from Barbara. Marks was textured, very similar to yours, and I have been so stumped, how he created that look! Now, I know! Barbara's salmon, was a one sided wall hanging, that was a smooth finish. A few weeks back, I was asked to carve a salmon, and not knowing yet, the technique, you just showed, I decided to make it out of punky cedar, using that for a beautiful negative space, and a smooth finish. Next salmon I do, will be EPIC, thanks to you!!❤❤❤ Thanks my friend!

I would order tools from you for sure. If you need any help with your website. I may be able to help out. You have inspired me to do my first few carvings. Working with a stock saw is heavy and more time consuming since some detail cant be done with the saw. Cant wait to buy my own saw and carving bar. I was wondering as a fellow canadian. How do you ship your work to customers? I imagine heavy pieces must be difficult or very expensive to ship.

ya they are i think shipping sucks but i just use regular things

I make fish out of Driftwood Roots make you scales use a four and a half inch angle grinder sanding discs hit it on an angle it will make awesome awesome scale or you can use your Dremel round to send paper and just go in it and burn them in like you're stacking blocks and nothing I'll look real we are done
