I have so much love for Helsinki! I studied at the University of Helsinki as an exchange student in college. The open air market at Helsinki Market Square (kauppatori) was one of my favorite spots. The crepe station, handmade wool and fur stands, and fish counter were so uniquely Finnish, at least in my eyes. Marriage laws were extended while I was there too, which was quite neat!! I'm so glad you were able to visit this beautiful city (and country)! :)

I really enjoy watching your videos, not only the cinematic vlogs but also the ones about your relashionship, and the ones that bring something to my life by questioning myself later about certain stuff you talk about. Helsinki seems so awesome. I saw the trams on a Rick Steves episode and as a Bostonian, I'm astounded by how they can keep their trams (some older than the MBTA's) running more smoothly even in far worse weather. It looks like a great trip all around.

It's a really great city. You should definitely visit if you ever get the chance. That's super interesting about the trams, I hadn't really thought about that part of it, but yea, the trams are quite old and also seem to be working flawlessly. :) Lauren

Well, for me, it's not so much the existence of the trams that seem odd (we have similar light rail "trolleys" in greater Boston. The reliability was what stood out. Especially in winter weather. I think that it's cool how they have 70's cars running so well, when here, 80's cars are deemed old enough to replace.

What an amazing experience! I’ve been to Finland once, for 20 years ago (I was 17) with my dorm-neighbor. She comes from Haparanda so on our springbrake she took me with her to her home to see Norrbotten. (I’m from Skåne and we both went to the gymnasium in Uppsala. I studied Media - Radio and Tv and became a radio technician and she studied to be a Vet. We went to different schools but lived at the same student house and as I wrote she was one of my dorm-neighbors.) when your are in Haparanda you just take a 20 minutes walk, over a little bridge that goes over Torne Älv, and then you are in Torneå, Finland. It’s so cool. The parts of Finland I saw was very beautiful but cold (we were there in the end of March). Xo. Petra
