I have seen this also in one of the groups (4th Impact) I follow. These girls went out during the recent rains and flood disaster and donated bags and bags of essentials to flooded families who had little or nothing. Also at Christmas time when they donated shopping carts full of presents to others to make their Christmas time a little brighter. These people are a shinning beacon to the world.

Filipino's have the mindset of giving while you can without asking or waiting for response they just do it ....theres a lot of goodness in the world and filipinos teach their children hardship of achieving something but to thank the grace that they are being given they pay it forward and look forward towards the greatness of what it will bring to the future........we are already belong to one of the poor countrys in the world but that doesn't mean we will become savages and uncivilized..if you see someone whos hungry or thirsty just imagine if one of your love ones or you personally experience that what will you do...love lots

Thank you for your kind reactions, right now "community pantries" are opening up everywhere in the Philippines, where everyone can get whatever they need for free from people who has more, mostly food because there are a lot who lost their jobs because of the pandemic. It helps a lot. People just set up tables on the side of the road with vegtables and canned food for anyone. In return, they can give back if they have anything they want to share. The world would be a better place, if everyone learns to be kind and share. ❤

I know it's kind of bias coming from a fellow filipino, but when Typhoon Yolanda struck our small town, i rode the bus for free to go to manila to find some job, i sleep in the street for weeks i could ask someone to let me live at their house if i wanted to but i don't want to burden someone that much since i know i eventually find someone who will agree, i have nothing only the clothes i'm wearing, when i'm hungry i just go to a local eatery, and ask for water I'll receive food without asking, if i wanted to take a bath i just explain my situation and ask some random house if they allow me to use theirs, and they allowed me, some actually offer me to stay i refuse since i don't want to trouble anyone, they give me a bag of clothes, after a few weeks i found i job, get back from my feet and even fix our house that's been devastated by the typhoon, so from my experience i try to pay it forward, help those who ask and those who are in need.

Hi. new subscriber here. I personally believe that not only us Filipinos are generous enough to let a stranger on their car or in their homes. And I understand when you said that you're just scared. Funny thing about us Filipinos is that we can trust anyone if they just ask nicely. but if they are to try and harm us, that would br a big mistake. we fight back especially when we are in our territory. we would share what we have with open arms but you don't want to harm a Filipino in their domain. Love and support from PH here, Ms. Samantha.

Sorry for this delayed comment. The Philippines is a very Christian country and it is taught to their children to be loving and caring to all people. The WEST have a hard time comprehending this but you can see out in the street in the Philippines and where the poor are: The children still enjoy life and smile despite their poor status and western visitors made this comment and observation on KZbin. Trust me, I am a Filipino!

In relation to what you discussed at 7:35 - We can be even more open and generous if only for those that takes advantage of said generosity. As such it has fostered a kind of pervading mistrust or apprehension like if are you helping the right people. People have learned to become wary that you don't fall into a scam.

Watching this makes me remember my dad.. Specially the 3rd challenge hosting complete strangers. The biggest we have hosted is a fully loaded jeepney (18-20 seater) it was in the middle of the night they just arrived in our city but due to their long ride and of course the road the jeepney their riding over heated. It just so happened that it happened in front of our place. Our room is big enough to host at least 10 but you can hardly move in it.so my father did something unimaginable for others he asked permission from his boss if he can open up other rooms of the house for them. He told his boss what happened and he agreed to it. We offered them what we can offer have time with them I even have to share my bed with them also be with them throughout their stay in our city.

You are right. I've trusted and let people I know entered my home and they've broken my trust. A lot of them will steal from you and do horrible things. Helping is good but there is always the risk of being betrayed. A lot of people also abuse other people's generosity. They rip off everything you have and laugh behind your back. Help people but be cautious. Seek God's guidance. Reserve some for yourself. Don't give everything. Think wisely. Act accordingly.

I think its just normal to majorities of Filipinos to be hospitable, kind, and generous. Here in Philippines there's no much foreigners you can see or meet everyday. When I first go abroad in Qatar, I learned that other nationals do not have the attitude that I have or we have. When I was young, I always smile and say hi to foreigners that I encountered and even talk to them. When I was in Qatar, when I smiled to a person most of them do not smile back, they just stared at me. I was ashamed and ask why, then I learned from other Filipinos at work that they are not like us. From there I learned to not do what I used to do (to be welcoming), I totally changed my attitude but it's not easy to change because it is not really who I am. Then, I realized and admit that I am just a worker here, nothing else. It was against my heart. It's unfair that while I was so welcoming back home, I was not given the same respect when I go to other countries.

Yes!Filipino are very helpful and generous,If you are in America, some of the Filipino family,if the classmates or friend of their sons or daughter are kick out from their home by their parents because of not following rules? Some Filipino family are willing or they allowed this teen agers to stay in their homes for days and feed them and stay, because they are worried something might happen to those teen agers to be out in the street and do bad things or they might be in dangers,Me myself i did that to the friends or classmate of my Son😘😊Not to tolerate them, but just concern about them, then give them a good advice not to dis respectful to their parents😘

Well this can be weird and funny. I am Filipino and my mom is so concerned if she can't give anything to the gate guard in our housing subdivision . Every time we go shopping, she will always remind me to spare some snacks for the security guards along our way back home. Also, she's always happy to give what she has to the garbage collectors in our area and if she happens to have nothing to give, there is always cold tap water she'll always offer to them specially during summer when the hot season is extreme . No wonder my mom collects empty large Coke and Pepsi bottles , wash these bottles and stock a couple of it inside the fridge for a clean and cold fresh water ready to give away for these thirsty garbage collectors . My mom is 93 years old but she's still in it always happy to give and share whatever she has to offer to anybody. Before I wasn't in favour of this but then soon I realised that this makes her always happy and we all should be like my wonderful mom.
