I think its just normal to majority of Filipinos to be hospitable, helping, giving, kind, and concern. Here in Philippines there's no much foreigners you can see or meet everyday. When I first go abroad in Qatar, I learned that other nationals do not have the attitude that I have or we have. When I was young, I always smile and say hi to foreigners that I encountered and even talk to them. When I was in Qatar, when I smiled to a person most of them do not smile back, they just stared at me. I was ashamed and ask why, then I learned from other Filipinos at work that they are not like us. From there I learned to not do what I used to do (to be welcoming), I totally changed my attitude but it's not easy to change because it is really who I am. Then, I realized and admit that I am just a worker here, nothing else. Its unfair that while I was so welcoming back home, I was not given the same respect when I go to other countries.
