I didn't even think it was possible to curve shots that wide without slicing or hooking them, but curving them by twisting your wrist is much more reliable than swinging too hard. At the same time, it also makes taking perfectly straight shots quite a bit trickier because you have to keep your wrist as straight as possible while swinging.
