Anecdote. Many mmany years ago, me and my friend went to Norway playing this international Magic the Gathering tournament. My friend was up against a german, things looked good in game going for the final attack. His opponent went into a "sigh" mode, moaning his arse off, BUT as a taunt as he had the unlikely surprise counter on his hand. Until this day, we joke and use the "german sigh" as we nicknamned, while playing games, poker to magic or anything else. The german sigh. 26:50 haha IT IS A THING! Moaning while you are winning.

Ty for the free content Ben! You’ve taught me a few things but above all else it’s the power of very aggressive restealing! Probably one of the strongest pets of my game now and one of the things I still see people messing up horrible at 10-20abi (where I frequent)

Why they did just go blind allin in heads up in bounty? Payouts are equal but 1st place also gets bounty for himself, so you want to play for first

One thing I do know is that this guy is a close friend of Ben's and that this is always how they handle their heads up matches. The 25k in bounties makes it insanely confusing though.

@@jordanlee3078 they did not icm chop anything. In bounty tourneys 2nd and 1st cash for the same amount, that's what the deal was showing. There was 25k in bounties still in play.
@SlasnerSb
@SlasnerSb 2 жыл бұрын
I'm super confused as well. The deal didn't effect anything at all. Just because the guy is Ben's friend, he was willing to jam any 2 until play had concluded even with 25k still on the line.
@jordanlee3078
@jordanlee3078 2 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure they factored the bounties into the ICM. You just don't see it because he edits out the deal making process. So basically 1st and 2nd typically would have won 15k each. I maybe wrong though but I'm pretty sure.

when he snapped the K10o 3 handed your reaction is exactly how i feel almost every session in new jersey, any advice you can give me Ben? I've also figured out that a min raise inducing like your AQ hand is way better than getting hands you dominate to fold long term even though it feels like 678 flop frequently comes. i questioned myself and this if i should be just jamming but results wise things have turned back around lately thanks for the great video.

@@RaiseYourEdge If you don't mind me asking and this is something I'm having trouble with unless I completely switch gears and even then it still results into many high variance situations that i try to avoid with the latter. Why do I always feel like id rather be playing with a table for example 2:1 reg to recs instead of the other way around, yes obviously i enjoy it more but thats not it. I usually do better in a field that has more regs at my table than recs. almost feel stupid to even ask such a question and dont get me wrong these players make such bet sizing mistakes where I very confidently raise without any equity knowing its getting through because it did the past 3 times because they let you know it wont work when it wont. Then again some higher buyin event where its just all regs no recs really feels like whos gonna make a mistake first type of scenerio unless I happen to be running very well which is mostly not the case, almost like I gotta always 1up the competition because no ones gonna slip up and therefore its difficult to accumulate chips and this mostly for post flop not pre where i can just squeeze pick up chips or just win an all in confrontation. @Paul Jones It's not bad but i guess its the fact that most done induce as much as some others do like AQ in this situation is a shove for most players who wouldnt go for a raise call off a hand like this. im not always gonna raise AQ or similar in this situation but im not always shoving it either and no im not using a randomizer lol its just all depends on the variables like whos in the blinds. what im tryna say is most people jam that K10 are expecting a fold from bu because bu is either shoving or raise folding most of his raise fold range, maybe im wrong though i could get deeper here but imma stop.

@@colinmurphy3478 AA hand early position raise he 3bets way too big in a spot where I find flatting to induce a 4bet cuz players behind love squeezing or min raising is much more profitable. 53 of spades hand he checks river and misses out on value vs. top set..you can't automatically be afraid of a flush when there's 4 on the board and two in your hand its unlikely another spade is in his opponents hand especially because all the big spades are already on the board. That 53 was basically the nuts but he gets scared and checks the river in a spot where I would bet small like 1/5th pot size and top set makes crying call. Instead no value. 77 flop set river boat all in on river? That all in is waaaay too strong. If he bets 2 or 2.5 ish instead of alling in for almost 5 million he probably gets paid by all those Ax hands he mentions but all in just baits out his hand. If he bets 2mill he also leaves the door open for a possible bluff or weak value jam. But all in just closes all those options.
