More like a devolution, had the idea of making the title exactly that but nah. Pretty interesting how they got rid of the top half of the pipe in tour, you can actually pop out of the water on the half pipe part. It'll be interesting to see what they do to in in 8 deluxe. I kinda hope they bring the lighting poles back.

I want to know their thought process with these decisions. In 7, the glider detracts from the river section. The point is to drive with the current, not fly over it. The underwater section takes away the spectacle of the pipe as well as neutering the climax of the track by slowing it down and removing obstacles. In Tour, the color palette is unnecessarily changed (and ugly imo. It genuinely hurts to look at it) and iconic visuals like the Koopa Troopa sign are removed. What were they thinking?

the dumb thing is that if they really wanted to shoehorn in the gliding gimmick they could've just added a glide ramp to the cliff jump at the beginning instead of at the river. It wouldn't of ruined the gameplay for that area and it makes a lot more sense to jump over a huge gap instead of a more interesting river to drive on. Hell they could've made the waterfall an obstacle

Eh, I don’t really like Tour’s version of Koopa Cape. They used an ugly rock texture that’s used in rock rock mountain in tour. There is even a gray rock texture used in mushroom gorge! They also replaced the cute Koopa signs with just advertisements (even the Koopa sign on the cave is missing). And the underwater section is basically just Mario kart 7s. The half pipe making you go out of the water is cool tho. I don’t know, tours version just doesn’t have any of the magic the original version had

Kind of hated that they removed the signs and replaced them with advertisements and the Koopa Head at the beginning. But everything is fine and as expected (with the Koopa Zappers still removed in the underwater pipe).

I think this is my least favorite Wii course from Tour, I didn’t like it. Why did they changed all the rocks color? They did really good in Mushroom Gorge and Maple Treeway. Now this looks like 3DS rock mountain 2.0, it has no personality

Ig it is indeed an evolution but also a downfall of one of my favourite courses unfortunately, mario kart 7’s koopa cape is worse then the koopa cape in wii, the underwater section looked pretty boring in that 7 version, i want the koopa zappers to return. and the tour version is worse then the both of those versions.. the tour’s version looks a lot worse with the koopa sign vanishing, the rocks being in a unsurprisingly rubbish color, and keeping the 7’s underwater segment lmao, It’s looking like nintendo likes to ruin courses in the tour version too, especially koopa cape.. koopa cape is now ruined. I understand that mario kart tour is a mobile game, but I hope if nintendo adds this course into the booster course pass they make it better.

Mario Kart Tour is based on Mario Kart 7, so people shouldn't be expecting Wii-exclusive features from courses remade in 7 besides half-pipes. Compared to Mario Kart 7's version, this is a big improvement.

Man. The Wii version is still my favorite. The others are downgrades in my opinion. They filled the pipe with water, put in fish, got rid of the lasers and boosters, and the overall aesthetic is lost imo. The running water in the pipe was more fun to ride along for the boost in speed rather than just filling it with water. How are they just gonna completely get rid of the lasers?
