@christaylor90956 жыл бұрын
@zan zy, my feelings are fine. You're the one that's butthurt that people liked something you didn't. Humor isn't fact based. It's opinion based. Your acting as otherwise is childish, leading me to think that you are, in fact, a child. If you're an adult or even adultish, you should just grow up. Bitch.
@christaylor90956 жыл бұрын
@zan zy, no, I did address your "point". The fact that I am correct and you are not does not mean I didn't address it. Again, very child like. I'm still not certain whether it's because you're and actual child or just an incredibly immature adult, but, in the long run, it doesn't matter. You should stop commenting about things outside of your intellectual grasp, and frankly, that may well be pretty much everything on the internet. Bitch.

That was a refreshing change of pace for a monologue on SNL. Usually the host will come out and burst into a song and/ or dance, or go off into the audience or backstage. I liked that she simply came out and said a couple of humorous anecdotes and ended with a nice shout out to someone who inspired her greatly. Very nice.

I thought what she said was heart warming and nice, but unfortunately I don't think she's a very good actress. Crazy Rich Asians is a fun movie and I think Constance Wu is fantastic. She's really talented and she does a great job in Fresh of the Boat, but Awkwafina was not good in CRA. I also saw her in Ocean's 8 and her performance there is similarly mediocre. Can't say anything about her rapping as I've never heard it and I don't really listen to rap anyway so I probably wouldn't be a good judge.

It was, the sketches were weak, you could even see it affecting the performances of the cast, which is a shame as they do their best, but you can only go so far with a weak script. I'm not a scriptwriter, or a writer for that matter, but the writers can and have done better. To be fair to them though, the mood regarding what happened with Kavanaugh certainly made the audience feel a little flat.

So this wasn't the best SNL, and I feel kind of bad for Awkwafina. The monologue was fine (the jokes weren't particularly funny, but the points she made were salient and respectful), but she seemed nervous in some of the skits and the cast/writers didn't do her any favors either. Most of the skits were just flat. I'm not trying to be a hater but Leslie Jones is not improving and every time she blows a line, it's extra-distracting because we've almost been trained to expect it. Which is weird because I have seen some skits where she really did nail it. But back to Awkwafina, I hope she stays grounded and doesn't get caught up in herself. She's extremely likable and I'd like to see her host again in the future.

I just checked out her YT page. That song isn't there but there are some hilarious titles. If you'll excuse me, I'll be listening to "Queef". Her song, not an actually pussy fart.

Love her on Nora from Queens. Also, loved that she's being down to earth, not pushy and actually likable right her.
