This happens to me at the grocery store all the time...Run into acquaintance...pretend to be delighted Hey how are Youuuu?! small talk chit-chat, see you later, next aisle, oh hi again *awkward laugh* Next aisle, pretend to be distracted by the nutrition label on bag of Doritos...wait it out, estimate time it will take for them to get to the register...make sure not to get in their lane or next one over...notice they finished checking out & will be walking out at same time as you...cuss under your breath...pretend to drop some change & check an important fake text, if they notice you while walking by send up distracted half smile/wave ...then dart out when the coast is clear. .... 😩😩🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
