Because Sam can't Google: One thousand origami cranes (千羽鶴, senbazuru; literally “1000 cranes”) is a group of one thousand origami paper cranes (折鶴, orizuru) held together by strings. An ancient Japanese legend promises that anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish by the gods A thousand paper cranes are often given to a person who is seriously ill, to wish for their recovery. They are usually created by friends, classmates, or colleagues as a collective effort. Another common use is for sport teams or athletes, wishing them victories. Cranes are a symbol of peace, and are thus often seen at war memorials.

Are we sharing cool facts? I've got one: There is a microbe named Pseudomonus Syringae that lives on plant leaves and tree canopies. This little bacteria has tiny spikes all over it that catch water out of the air and hold it in the perfect orientation to form ice crystals. When the wind picks up over forests it catches lots of these bacteria and carries them into the stratosphere where they literally gather water and ice and form clouds, rain drops, and hail. Pseudomonus grow particularly well on tea plants, so tea plantations will often have huge thunderstorms downwind during windy times of the year. This little bacteria is supposed to be the most common rain nucleation particle over continental landmasses, and is directly responsible for most of the rain that falls inland (I've seen some variation in the estimates, but I've never seen a calculation attributing less than 60% of continental rainfall to the environmental effect of Pseudomonus Syringae). Also Pseudomonus Syringae Americana is a man made genetic mutation of the original bacteria. It was essentially blasted with radiation to see how it would react, and the scientists ended up with a strain of the bacteria that was perfectly smooth, and instead of catching water and forming ice it repels water and interferes with both ice and cloud nucleation. It was the very first genetically modified organism to be released in the wild, and is used particularly in California to prevent frost from blighting strawberry crops.

I am caught up to Critical Role campaign 2 and now I must wait like the rest of us until Thursday night! But circling back to AWNP UNP'd is so amazing.

I always ask this, but I never get an answer, so I'm trying again: Who does the pixel art for this show?! It's gorgeous, and I'd like to learn how to be this level of awesome...

It might be Liam, correct me if I'm wrong, but he is called "The Art Dad"
@seven-cats-34 жыл бұрын
@@cheeselord3655 He's Art Dad because of how much he interacts with fanart and artists (he's responsible for the art reel every episode) but I don't think he's an artist himself

Found the answer on the store page for the AWNP-shirt, it says "Pixel art by Noga Cohen (@nogacohenart), design by Bryan Weiss (@PlayRPGandCo)" :)

Speaking of weird quarantine dreams, I had one a couple of nights ago. I was on a city bus that was hijacked by the Joker, who mind-controlled the bus driver, and Matt and Marisha were two of the passengers. Us three had to figure out how to stop the bus.

I started this series in reverse and I can’t believe I missed this series 🤣! Their antics are hilarious! I love Liam’s man cave. I hope Sam and Liam give us a tour of their man caves! Also, Marisha looks amazing with her hair up! Edit: Now we need to have a lets play with Matt Mercer 🤣 Edit2: Now I’m imagining Marisha and Matt getting giddy when they visit a craft store 🤣

This is such good content. Thank you Marisha, Liam, and Sam. Your friendship and caring sets an example and provides a little respite in this fucking bullshit dark time.

Politics, civil unrest and pandemic aside, I am delighted to have Critical Role back. And I’m so proud of the Critical Role crew and cast for being a bright spot in everyone’s day in these trying times. I love you guys, please never stop being who you are.

Shout out to the techs. I have been been out of of work since March as a live show tech, gettingshitdoner behind the curtain. Its... brutal. There is no Critical Role without the real life npc builders and no bard without a tavern builder.
