Thanks! I just donated to Johhny’s fund. Not being computer savvy, I just went to yahoo and typed in ‘Johnny Crawford go fund me’ and the site opened up....it took my credit card information easily. I actually named my son after Johnny’s character on the Rifleman (Mark)- because I was always impressed with every episode teaching a moral, focusing on a good, strong father (Luke) raising his child Mark). And I read over the years that behind the scenes, young Johnny was always polite and respectful to everyone on the set, janitor, sound man, everyone. He’s a good man.

Mr. Crawford you are an incredible actor and an inspiration to everyone. Thank you for being so wonderful.

What's not to love? Johnny Crawford was quite a character and a really remarkable, multifaceted man who lived his life to the fullest. Even with the "belt starting to slip" he was still a consummate showman and he reminded us how he could still charm and hold an audience. The world was a better place while he was in it. May he Rest In Peace, he brought joy to so many for so long. Once again, Thanks Rob for sharing this.

When you watch the Rifleman, the writing and story telling is so good, it’s as if the sum of all the parts is bigger than the whole. So many of the shows today are little more than eye candy. The Rifleman was a morality lesson.

In this interview Johnny sez whatever comes to his mind but he still had a bunch of memories to recount. The disease has now robbed him of the ability to speak. To me, this life wouldn't make sense if this is all there was. Life has transcendent value and I hope Johnny had faith in God and walked it out. Most people think he has 💵 stashed away but obviously he has treasures of higher value, true friends.♡ 🤗 ♡

I was fortunate enough to have met Johnny back in 2017 at the Kanab, Utah Western Stars Roundup. His memory was a little fuzzy on some things we spoke about together but for me it was a very memorable time. He commented on my camera (a good digital Canon) and we spoke of the Rifleman show, Chuck Connors and the many wonderful supporting actors over the run of the show. That's when Johnny had a difficult time coming up with some of the names of co-workers. We also spoke of the morality issues engaged on the show which is something we'll never, ever see on any modern day programs. Clearly it's just not important to current networks where inclusion is more important to them. One of the things I'll remember most is how small Johhny's hand was for a good handshake. I missed meeting Clint Walker by one year. I would have enjoyed meeting him also.

Hey, Johnny, thanks for all the good memories you brought us on The Rifleman! You had to be a smart kid to remember all those lines! I'm currently homeless, but will keep you in my prayers! It's pretty stupid that the entertainment industry got away with screwing talented kids out of residuals and real pay for their hard work back then! Perhaps your people here can get some talented lawyer to go after the corporate entity who currently owns that series, because it's STILL on over the air television! They're using your work to charge people for entertainment, and sales of advertising, so it seems to me that they should be compensating you in some manner for it! Good luck, Johnny. Prayers, cowboy!
