Thanx AWOW for this western, I really loved this one and other b&w westerns of the 30s, 40s and 50s. Barbara Hale was so beautiful and awesome. Its great to be back on Friday nights.

Wow ! Barbara Hale was a knock-out back then; and I just remember her from her "Della Street" days on Perry Mason ! What a difference. Also get the opportunity to see early Mitchum - even before he was Jeff Bailey in "Out of the Past." Cool.

At 47:38 the French character says that the French are the best cooks in the world, but it wasn't always that way. Long before the French Revolution the French aristocracy intermarried with the Italian aristocracy, and the Italian aristocracy brought their own cooks along with them. (I wonder why?) After the Revolution these cooks, being out of a job, made their living by opening up their own businesses and that is where the so-called French cooking actually came from.
