I've had the fortune to work with several of the cast members of this little Western through the years and folks like Scott Glenn, William 'Rusty' Russ and Jerry Gatlin are truly gentlemen in my book. Don -- if we ever talk, remind me to tell you my Burt Lancaster story on a picture he produced and starred in that a long ago mentor, Alan Sharp wrote and ultimately directed. Stay frosty today, it's gonna be 114F today in lower Oregon. Gotta wonder what it's like in EL-Aaaa and all that Summer smog. D.A.

Memories that still inspire the "pinch me I'm dreaming" when we chance to ponder them, and a "God knows, I truly appreciated it in the moment and now upon reflection". I'm an individual who believes "we are Souls having a Human Journey", "for the Experiences with the senses", and that we agree to a template of "to be experienced". Yet, most all lose the memory of who/what we are upon our emergence into the 3D at birth, and we are truly "experiencing in the day to day, in/from the Human perspective". Thus, we really manage a variety of choices, and occasionally I feel we also have woven some truly delightful opportunities for ourself to experience. We don't do it alone really, but We are driving the vessel, and when we "get it", we can really live it with creative delights and heartfelt appreciation". I've had a similar chapter, still appreciate them, and I intend to have new ones. My perspective is defined in part through the "Universal Laws", particularly the "Universal Law of Attraction". Best Thoughts ... Beth Tennessee, USA

I found an interview with Scott Glenn online. He said he and his wife both fell in love with Burt the day they met him before shooting this. Burt could see right away that Glenn had potential but had never worked in front of a camera before, and spent the entire shoot teaching what he knew. If you go over on Internet Archive and watch Desert Fury, the first film he ever made (but not the first to be released), well, he already had it. 45 years of experience went into what Burt taught Glenn. I love Burt to death. I've seen all but 10 of the 87 films he made, some for TV. He never did sequels; he never did remakes except for films of stage plays. He did 13 westerns. All his war movies were actually anti-war movies, if you pay attention. He repeatedly did roles that fought bigotry; he was a friend to MLK, ran fund-raisers for him in 63 and 65 and made a speech of his own at the Lincoln Memorial, introduced by Ossie Davis. He went to the funeral and got the family permission to get King: a Film Record done. His last film was about the SCOTUS decision that overturned segregation. He was brilliant and more educated than almost all of us. He was one of a kind.

Very bizarre movie. Rambling dialogue, like they just kept filming, seeing what happened, said whatever came into their heads as they went along. The very premise of two underage girls traveling along with a gang of outlaws makes one wonder where their heads were at.
