Great stuff! Only comment I would have is that I like to verify that external DNS has propagated by querying a name server other than your own (I like to use google's 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4 etc) after you have cut over your DNS. This is a quick sanity check I perform to ensure that I don't inadvertently have a hosts file entry skewing my results. Thanks for this!
