Please advise on this 'assume role' query: When it comes to IAM users, we specifically add an in-line policy for it to allow the assume role 'action' for the respective role. We do it as new users have no permissions. Do we also do the same manual step for 'Services' while creating a Service role?? For example 'allowing' an EC2 instane to 'assume' the respective role?

no, you don't do that. when you create a role that is to be assumed by an EC2 instance, you actually specify the service "EC2" in the trust relationship of the role.

SCPs do not affect any service-linked role. Service-linked roles enable other AWS services to integrate with AWS Organizations and can't be restricted by SCPs.

Sir, can you tell me if it is possible to delete a servicelinked role. I tried deleting a service linked role and it says that there are active sessions for this role. Please tell me how to find this active session so that I can delete the role.
