I tried the same steps again, and in Route Tables of VPC in mumbai region i made entry of singapore region subnet and Virtual Private gateway instead of doing RoutePropagation and tunnel is UP , lab is successful... thanks a lot bhupinder sir

Lab performed successfully, also with the custom inbound rules. During execution I had done one mistake, I have copied the wrong Pre-shared key(IPSec Tunnel #2 Pre-Shared Key) in "/etc/ipsec.d/aws-vpn.secrets". After correction, I have restarted IPSEC Service ($ service ipsec restart) and LAB performed successfully. Thank you so much, for this detailed LAB.

Another good job Bhupinder.... I have been solving practice questions and there are lots of questions comes from VPN in AWS. Hence, this lecture is one of the best to have a good understanding... Though I am experiencing an error while doing this lab (at the end )while entering commands " vim /etc/.../secrets" but not to worry. I understood the concept and the lab. Will try to do the same again to see if that comes again or not... Also, would be great if you can do the same with windows server.

Hi Bhupendra.... First of all thanks for very nice and simple explanation. I just want to mention, after starting the ipsec service i was getting error for no preshared key found cant authenticate.. even after i made the same configuration. Solution: Just place the preshard key in /etc/ipsec.secrets then it starts reading my secret... thanks

@Bhupinder, I have been able to demo this lab. But When i am launching windows server Ec2 Instance they are not communicating with each other over VPN however its communicating when comes to linux. I have disabled all the firewall over all windows server and opened traffic for all using security group. Could you guide further ? I have to deploy Tableau Server application in my client environment shortly which are windows server?
