This story was deep. It explored human behaviors like betrayal, companionship, compassion, friendship, unconditional love and had a perfect ending. The costumes were exceptional and the acting was flawless. The battle scenes were well put together and cinematic. I really enjoyed watching all 68 episodes. There was never a boring episode.

@Yvette Rolle I think you’ve already said everything I wanted to say. This drama is near perfection, I would’ve just wanted to see the General carry his own baby and then everything would be complete. A must-watch if you like historical drama with a strong female lead who is the equal of her man (along with Empress Ki).

My mom is 83 years of age and she loves this drama...never miss it...of all drama she watched...always end it to this drama "rebel princess"...said she admire Awu and Xiao Qi...said there is a reason and meaning of this drama.
