Hammers are faster. Cruder but faster!

I could have blacksmithed the edges into thinner flanges, or forge welded a thinner plate underneath the plate rather than saw and file away the edges. Reduction with the saw was easier and since I wanted to show people how they could do a job without spending a fortune on special tools or machinery I figured I would get more people willing to use a hacksaw than forging a block into a T Nut. Still that would appeal to a smaller section of the group.
