Mr. Doug! Love the video! This could be done on an FM-3, yes? And it would work on all scenes in the one preset? I'd love to do this to eliminate one expression pedal from my board! Please let me know!

Brilliant! I have an FM3 and I don't have any spare footswitches. Can I set up a stand in switch for my SP-1 toe switch to cycle the multiplexer so I can choose Volume, Wah, or nothing?

Wow, that's a great question! Right off the top of my head I can't say "yes" or "no" for sure. But setting up a stand in switch is the right idea for sure. Thanks. When switching from volume to wah does the unit recall the last volume settings via the pedal or does it go back to the patch volume?

I don't have my FM9 anymore to test this, but I'm guessing that it goes back to the patch volume.

I did get it working but if I set the volume where I want it and then switch to wah, it comes in at a much higher volume. How can I get it to maintain the volume setting before switching to wah. Thanks

I think that the pedal loses control of volume when you switch to wah and defaults to full volume.

Hi, I've got this all set up as you explained, but for some reason when its on the wah setting, I get wah and volume combined, they both are active simultaneously. But the volume setting works correctly by itself. I have the guitar going directly into input 1 on my FM9. Then the Ev-2 pedal expression output connected to Pedal 1 input on my FM9 with a TRS cable. Wow, I have no idea. If you have it set up exactly the same way it should work. I'd say to go over it again, especially the MultiPlex block settings. Let me know if you have any luck.

Fractal is so stone age with the helix you just push down and it turns on the waw you push again and you back to volume, i just bought the FM3 turbo. I'll probably just use it for home.

But that's not quite a fair comparison because the helix expression pedal is built in, therefore line 6 can add a sensor below it to sense that you are switching between two different effects. If you buy a switching expression pedal with a button you can assign it to toggle wah and volume as well 😄
