His low register REALLY resonates I'm so glad they gave him more parts in Nightmare Time so I can truly appreciate him!

Hatchet Town's melody plays throughout the bridge, and the lines "Get lost inside those demon eyes" and "Watch those nerds run for their lives' have a nearly identical structure to lines from the title song of NPMD

Bryce and Corey are so bad ass. If I could ever pick a theme song walking into a room to in slow motion it would be this. This is so iconic.

This reminds me so much of the 90s pop. The electro-funk instrument, the personality and slight emotion in the voices and even the SFX being the main percussion reminds of MJ or Spice Girls’ biggest hits, which *I fucking love*

"Watching nerds run for their lives" this line makes me wonder if they'll do a callback to Abstinence Camp in NPMD, like mentioning the camp and what happened there. But with all the multiple versions of Hachetfield, I can only hope

AKSHSJHS Here I am again, 6 months later and this never left my head!! Bryce and Corey are a match perfect for this song. The beat is so powerful, like the sound of the axe being dragged or hitting something repeatedly. Their vocals are so powerful and it sounds like a genuine horror movie ost... Jeff, Bryce and Corey made this song what it was. And damn what a song it is!! Their harmony was evident throughout this whole thing. *Just wanted to gather my thoughts with Starkid coming back recently, I can't wait to see what they do next. As these hatchetfield stories were the perfect thing to hold us over before then. Loving their content as always!!👌👌🪓🪓*

So...this is a great song. I love the vocals (Corey and Bryce sound so good together!), the cinematography is excellent (thank you Curt) but I do think some of the lyrics sound a bit ableist. I know it's about Lumber-axe having changed from human to...whatever Lumber-axe is, but the lyrics directly compare his (actual) inhumanity with mental health issues that are heavily stigmatised in the real world. Again, it's a great song, but that just makes me uncomfortable.
