It's wild country but I do have car/truck noise, and of course the Trans Siberian Railroad. I have the road 3-400 meters from home. However it is just a road cutting through the forests and forest fields :) Great place to live.

I have never seen an axe hung this way, but it looks like this method works just fine. We sometimes think there is only one way to do something, not relizing all of the possible solutions to a problem. Thank you Lars, your tutorials are very good.

Here in Tennessee, I remember my dad used to fashion his ax handles in much the same way as the process you just did. As a student of survival gardening I would be interested in a video about your garden and any crops you plant on your land. what tools you garden with etc. Plus I really need to know if you plant potatoes with some form of silky saw. :)

I love your channel. I think I've watched every video. In a few videos you mention how you love living in Russia and how Russia is better than most people think. Have you done any videos on what you love about Russia and what most people get wrong about Russia? I know I'd be very interested in a video about that subject. Thanks for all your videos!

Mathew Garriga, my father gave me some advice about how to get on through life when I was 16 years old, he said "son, there's 3 things you should never ask another man, how much he earns, what's his politics and what's his religion"

Considering the fact that it has been buried deep in Mother Russia for who knows how long, you have done a miracle in resurrecting a piece of history. The very slight angle of the head will be beneficial when used with the left hand since it will enable the artisan to plane smooth large areas of material with dead-on accuracy. With a Tatara whetstone you should be able to shave a sleeping bear's rear end without waking him up. Think of all the Kuksas your father-in-law can make. I love the solid "tang" it makes. Finally, the handle is truly that of an artisan...the Leonardo of the Taiga.

Congratulations on completing your axe project. I enjoyed watching. I especially liked the 5 wedge system that you used to secure the axe head to the handle. I would be willing to bet that the axe handle would be more likely to break, than for the head to come off. It looks like an extremely secure way of doing it. Great job!

Why do I have the feeling that in Valhalla, thousands of Viking Warriors paused in their drinking, looked down upon you testing the Ax and Smiled like they were Sacking England? Great job on the axe Lars. I have an old small axe head that I would like to put a new handle on. The head is flat on the on the one side with a single bevel edge no the other side. That off center eye may be on purpose.... It is for hewing (making flat) logs. For example, the tops and bottoms of logs for a cabin. This usually comes with an off set handle so you don't bash your knukles against the log too.

I have an antenna on the roof which can reach some mobile phone towers 3km away, so I can upload at about 5Mb/sec. You should be able to get one as well. They work fine with up to 10-15 meters of antenna cable. Thank you very much! :)
