I hate today generation it has no class unfortunately I was born in to it. The 1980s was the time to be alive the music and the cars back then and the partys and clothes people would put on. Now today generation is like I'll just go to the store in my pajamas like really who dose that shit that's not a thing it never was. We also don't have neons lights on building or geometric wallpaper were back then that shit was everywhere I mean really was it necessary for the government to let the internet destroy what once was a legendary time to be alive in. Everything looked so nice and now today all this new shit just doesn't work it's complete utter garbage. Even the homes they have no character anymore they just throw vinyl siding on homes and to me that is so cheap looking like what happened to bricks and wood and paint and rocks marble you don't see that anymore it's so upsetting the way people have just excepted this new crap. When everything once was just so beautiful I mean honestly if I could make my own planet the 1980s would live forever and people can say the 1980s died but it only dies if you let it. I respect the older generation because they know how to have fun. Idk everything today is just so boring it's all the same no matter where you go or live nothing looks different and I just hate it because there is no style anymore nothing has taste. I mean I know I was born in the wrong generation but my god can people try to bring back what once was a amazing time be alive.

Man this is such a great song and fit in the movie perfectly, the 80s was the greatest decade for everything. Movies, music, video games, toys, cartoons, TV shows, and way way way less liberalism / political correctness. I loved every minute of it. Those 80s electronic soundtracks are some of my favorites like some Tangerine Dream stuff: Risky Business, Legend & Thief. The Vangelis Blade Runner soundtrack etc etc. Harold Faltermeyer did a great job with this and Top Gun, The Running Man, Tango & Cash & Fletch. I actually emailed him a few years ago to ask why they haven't released a full soundtrack to the two Beverly Hills Cop movies and he actually replied to me, he said he didn't know why but wished they would one day. It only took them forever but they finally did a year or two ago I believe.

Points for experimentation and originality on both fronts. That being said as an 80's child (born in the year of Star Wars 77). Music was best left to pop and rock took a huge dive that never recovered. Movies were classic but cheesy as hell and would never pass today's standards. Tengo 40 años. Conozco a vi a Eddie Murphy por primera vez cuando tenía 4 años, mi primera película vista fue "El chico de oro" o "The gold child" en 1986; años después en 1996 se me presentó esta gran película "Superdetective en Hollywood " de 1984 y las otras dos partes. Y debo decir, que además del gran cine de los 80 y 90 con este actor la música es impresionante.
