I found this video particularly interesting because I've always associated sway bars, with independent setups. It does seem a little odd that Treal have put so much effort into designing and manufacturing such a high-quality piece of engineering, yet they don't take the trouble to do a little video showing how to install it. At least you've corrected that significant oversight for them - and at least the product works!

Thank you Del sway bar setups are great for solid axle rigs if not the torque twist causes all kinds of roll over issues
@Del350K42 жыл бұрын
@@AdventureTimeRC Yes - torque twist is evil! Counter-rotating drive shafts are an expensive solution, so sway bars make sense.

The sway bars are good for stability on any suspension for hi speed but they are bad on crawlers, making a sway bar disconnect was one of the best mods on my YJ jeep
@Del350K42 жыл бұрын
@@carloshnunez Yes - on a crawler it just limits articulation, I guess.

I feel your pain when you talk about this rig. As you may remember I have the Bomber and I have the same problems with it. But I have to say, that front sway bar really did improve this thing. And like you said these things are gonna flip just because of the way the are made. But less flipping is better.. Thanks for sharing

man i love the ryft. i agree its definitely an animal of its own sort. ive got 3 lockers, and did pen springs in all 4 shocks with 80wt oil. with rear sway bar of course. it handles really well over stock. some closed cell foams make a big difference to as the tires wont buckle under high speed maneuvers
