I've always wondered if Traxxas servos were made by Futaba reason being I've never had one fail. Besides gears but never stripped them either being I always used them as my throttle/brake servo. I had a jato 3.3 that went through countless 3.3 engines and multiple metal steering servos but the stock 2018 Traxxas cheapest servo was the only surviving thing on the truck even sold it still worked perfectly. I've had this same luck with Futaba servos

my TSX45 burnt out in 3 runs...also that tsx65 has been out of stocks. I've been wanting to try one but decided to try the holmes servo since he changed it to hardened steel gears.

Can't go wrong with Hitec 7955tg, No problems running these @ 7.4v either.

I have a honcho n I had to replace my servo n I got a traxxas 2056. I find its slow on the reaction. im new to RC like this n I wish there was someone there to help me on choosing servo. so now I need to get a another one n better then what I have now. keep up the video man.

Can the servo be laid down on top of the axle instead of being stood up?

Yeah servos are the biggest debate in rc I think. I have had nothing but great success with solar servos. The d770 with 417 ozin is what I've ran for 2 years without any problems. I run 4 of them in total in scalers. In my group of guys I trail with 20 in all. I bet everyone has a different servo setup. From no name eBay specials to $300 brushless exotics. But I do have to say i won't be buying Solars anymore. There price has doubled in the past few years.

Im running 2.2s in my scx10 right now is this servo gonna be power full enough to run them well and is the price worth it even though futaba added stuff i wouldnt use into the servo? Plz reply thx

I wouldn't use a sbus servo in a single servo setup.

It's one of the most powerful standard size servos available. You won't use the SBUS functioanlity but it still is the servo I order when I am doing a new build. You can look at the Futaba BLS172HV.

hey so just got a scx10 deadbolt have had it out 4 times. little mud and water. cleaned it, blew it out with air. today a i tried to get it out and when i plug in the battery truck turns on and the servo goes crazy?? my truck did not come with a on off switch. got it new from local hobbie shop. they are closed. any idea what i should do?

+Michael Risch the mud and water could have easily been the issue. You may have fried the receiver or servo.

Hi there. Whats your opinion on this im using nimh 7.4v 3800mah and without castle bec. Can I still install the said servo? Will it work properly?

+aminol rasyid LIPO has huge advantages in every way. I wouldn't recommend NIMH. Castle BEC's are a good idea all the time.

On my first run I broke the plastic gear and found out the servo isn't very waterproof, any recommendations for a waterproof metal geared servo around the same torque?

Teddy Monroe I really don't have a solid suggestion for that as I always jump up in power significantly. Most futaba servos are waterproof, they just don't emphasize this on their marketing. You can find it right on their website though.

+James Hopkins may have to ask ToyZuki that on Facebook. I’m thinking it would be very difficult because most of the length would have to be taken completely out of the rear which would not leave much Link length.

250 good for me on A servo on all my scx 10s

Thats a decent amount if your are trailing, but when competing it can be a little weak. Course builders will sometimes put you in some really tough spots and 250 oz/in is just not going to cut it.

Seems enough to rip the whole front end outta that puppy. Trust me if money was no option I would go Futaba. Never cared for Hitec my first one seemed over rated. Every Futaba I've tried seems underrated if anything. As for the solar I've seen claim like 300 oz inch torque and barely turn the wheels very over rated. Right now I'm running the spectrum s6030 it's not to bad.
