Rad. I know this is an old video but I'm stoked to watch it.

The esc sits about 5mm higher in the Deadbolt. I put the lower mount in my Deadbolt & it made a world of difference.

That’s cool!! I’ll keep that in mind when I start really to tear into my deadbolt for the 37 Ford body build!! I think it’s gonna be pretty cool when it’s done!!

your work in progress trail is amazing.

Thanks Eric pohlman I appreciate it. It’s work in progress I was hoping to add to it before winter hit but that didn’t happen. So now I’m working on a real small indoor setup I can test on.

Nice video, I used two rubber o-rings from Ace Hardware the same size as the shock to keep the springs down on my Dead Bolt. Works really good. Planing on using some really thick grease in the shocks like TRA5040 or something else that thick.

KJS Thanks for checking out my channel and this video. I never thought of using o rings thanks for the tip!! I’m gonna switch all mine over from zip ties to o rings for sure!!

Just used some TLR77000 high pressure black grease in the stock shocks. I haven't had time to run it but when I turn it upside down the shocks don't fully compress, with out wheels on.

Thanks for the info. Been using 1/10 rigs and looking at buying something smaller for indoor use. These videos are great for me to use and help me decide which rigs would be best for me and my toddlers.

The deadbolt was given an easier descend route. Good video I love the deadbolt and my c10. My c10 has brass wheel spacers it made the world of a difference for 8 bucks like a totally different animal

I would love to see the c10 without the preload. I guess it just made it harder for it to perform as center of gravity just went up higher. Better to keep it as low as possible, when travel is needed, it will travel anyway.

I have the Deadbolt, JLU, and C10. Out of the box, I would rate their capability in that order. The body and bumpers hurt the C10.

You did a great job of explaining and the video but I think you chose a bad location to climb because these little guys can't really go up something like that. It's not fair to them both I believe you need to do another run on both better location a REALISTIC location and film again

Why’d you hold left on the c10 in the beginning. The rest you moved it back and forth but at the beginning you just held it left over and over so it’ll fall. I don’t have either. Not favoring but… that was a jank vs video

You put a zip tie around the spring? That's it ? Dose it stop the bobble head bounce ?
@RCOFFROAD4 жыл бұрын
No the zip ties just give a little more spring tension and lift to help with body clearance and tire rub. The only way to get rid of bobble head effect is get some oil filled shocks. I think hot racing makes a set.
@robertglenn99933 жыл бұрын
You put a very thick non petroleum grease in the shock body to stop the bounce. Works extremely well, just put some on the inside walls of the shock body. Use about half a pea size in each. Super lube from harbor freight is what you want. You can also use it in the diffs and on any gears.

did you cut the front of the chev to fit theflipped bumperr?
@RCOFFROAD6 ай бұрын
No you can just flip the mount

Are they both water resistant
@RCOFFROAD3 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t trust it. The motor, and steering servo probably would take some pretty good water but I don’t think the esc would last long!!! Never tested any of mine in wet conditions so I’m just guessing.

If the deadbolt is cheaper then what makes the c10 worth more
@RCOFFROAD3 жыл бұрын
The extra $20 bucks is a licensing fee. So axial can use the jeep and Chevrolet namesake. Everything else is basically the same.
@emersonvanwyk59883 жыл бұрын
@@RCOFFROAD so basiclly I should buy whatever body I like best, trying to decide and I thought the c10 had better parts aswell
@RCOFFROAD3 жыл бұрын
@@emersonvanwyk5988 yup buy whichever one you like best. The only difference is the length of the suspension links. The deadbolt is the longest, the c10 is next, and the jeep is the shortest I believe. The motor, esc, axles, steering servo, frame rails are all the same.
