I honestly couldn’t see the scale of your SCX6. Until your puppy walk through the picture. I mean I know how big that rig is but wow it conceal its size pretty well against the desert walls. Capable rig for its size.

Love seeing the SCX6 videos again! If I didn't love the look of my Honcho 6, I'd be all over the Cliffhanger performance build. It's tough to tell from the videos, but if you dont already have it, the Vitavon overdrive ring and pinion setup makes a HUGE difference on these trucks.

Just the 4 lower links with a high clearance bend helps so much

That thing falling back at ya is like WHOA!! At 6:45 when you said "so much belly there," I felt that. 😂

I added overdrive to mine, and it definitely made a world of difference!

Great video I had my cliff hanger scx6 out in St. George three weeks ago and it blew me away the lines it was able to pull off. I have mine SOA and four linked. It does some work!

I was driving mind yesterday, mostly a trail truck here, but so much fun to drive. Walking right up stuff the 1/10 are struggling with, lol.

Amen on the angled skid!! I have virtually the exact same set up as you do......except I don't have the SL3D inserts. I don't see those available on their website. Must be a custom order? I also installed the Samix high clearance links......but 180 degrees from their normal positioning. This gives me a huge amount of clearance from the back of the front tires to the front of the back tires...if that makes sense. I also use the Holmes Hobbies BLS HV2000 servo as it's much less expensive than the beast and puts out more torque. Love the crawling footage of this awesome platform!

Have you tried the 2.9 Mickey Thompsons? I have the super swampers and they seem good already. Just curious about how the two compare.

Cool! I have yet to see a SCX6 in person. Where is all that extra weight coming from? I am sure the links, axles and frame are much beefier than a 1/10. Is it all in the huge electronics?
@markcole64758 ай бұрын
Everything is much bigger adding a lot of weight compared to a 1/10 scale
@PleasureAfterWorkRcCrawlers8 ай бұрын
My thought is that the truck is way too heavy for this size...can it be that everything is scaled up with using the same materials as a 1:10 ?

Where did you get those bumpers? I’ve searched everywhere I can think of.
@shanesmith18547 ай бұрын
They were custom built for this rig I believe.

Nice change of pace. Could you do the same with a TRX4 chassis? I live on the east coast we don't have such a lovely place to crawl. But we make due with River Rocks and wooded trails. But man you built one beautiful truck! I have a TRX4 Defender in full overland mode, I know my limitations and just work within them.

It's not far off on the obstacles it didn't get man. Little more work, maybe some overdrive and it will get most of that.

@lowslowcrawlers13048 ай бұрын
@iandobbs7823 so you have to tune your whole truck to your foam? I'd rather have my brass weight the way I like it and have a 3d insert work with it, not the other way

I like watching people with them and yours in the video, but I had to sell mine I just didn’t get my emotional joy out of it like I do on my other 1/10-1/8 rigs not to mention my 1/10 would walk on it a lot. Bought two other rigs with the money. No hate here thanks for the watch.
